We have been using this product for years at our small farm, fly spray system was not an option for us. We have had mares in foal and lactating as well as their foals on this product with not one negative side effect observed by us or our vets. Makes being at the barn much easier. Give it a couple of weeks to work and if you are in a cold climate start well before spring warm up, in southern Texas we leave on year round. Thanks Chewy for carrying more equine products.

We had a bad fly problem. Tried the flies that eat larva and attractant containers to no avail. Started this early spring and it is so much better. Yes we still have some flies, neighbors also have animals so you can’t get rid of them completely, but we haven’t seen any fly larvae at all since using this. We also put out attractant containers to get flies that come from other places. But they aren’t breeding in the horse manure anymore.

Last year I used this product and had amazing results. At the beginning of March No one had any so I purchased a different product, the worst! I now have Solitude and I have it on auto ship so my guys and little girl will never do without. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth the price, because it WORKS!

I would definitely recommend this. It has significantly reduced the flies in the pasture this summer and I have a couple of picky eaters and they just gobbled it right up. It’s costly but the amount given to each horse once a day is a minimal amount so it does last a really long time. Can’t beat the price either compared to buying the 6 pound option from elsewhere at 110 x 3.3 = approx $370.

Works!

Significantly cuts down the amount of flys on the farm. One bucket also lasts quite a few months for just two horses. Which is great because it is a little pricier

I had heard about Solitude through I vet i used, she swore by it for multiple horses, and so i bit the bullet and gave it a try. It took a couple weeks, maybe slightly more to start making a difference, but i am convinced that it works, now after about 3 months with minimal flies. I will say that it does seem to work better for some horses than others, which may be a metabolic reaction or something, but its summer in Tucson and all 6 of our ponies have been so much more comfortable, and so have we! I am reordering now. The good thing is that for the 6 horses im treating the large container lasts over 3 months with daily feedings. I worked out the cost and its really not bad at all. I will say, we keep the stalls clean, mucking once or twice each day, which also, obviously helps.. So dont expect it to work if you arent also keeping things clean, but compared to previous summers and with this number of horses, its so pleasant not be constantly fighting off flies. There are still flies, but I would guess its about 70-80% less. My neighbor also got it, and didnt have the same results, so went back to diatomaceous clay and garlic for her guys.. But I will never go a summer without it! Also nice that we only need to have them on it for 6 months of the year, which also makes the cost seem more managable. So glad we tried it!

I have been using this product for almost 5 years for my donkeys and it works really well. I usually start feeding it to them right before "fly season" and am able to keep my animals quite happy, including those that share that pasture and i dont have to worry about fly masks. The best thing about it is that I don't have to worry about feeding by weight, everyone gets the same dose. Zoetis has a great customer support line and I was able to talk to a person regarding a question I had at the time. 100 percent reccommend.
