The Solid Gold Green Cow Beef Tripe Loaf was a wonderful surprise dinner for my favorite girls. It is specifically made for sensitive stomachs, so this is perfect for my pups. It is grain free, and the first main ingredient is green beef tripe. There’s also potatoes, carrots, salmon, pumpkin, and more. It’s loaded with tons of nutrition for a complete and balanced meal. I can feel good giving this nutrient packed soft food to them every day. Festival, they love it! They get excited as soon as they see me pull the can out of the cupboard. It also makes a great topper for dry food. Two paws up!

My 4 dogs are absolutely crazy about this food. It is made with quality ingredients and as someone who has spent over 50 years in the veterinary industry and working with animals, I feel that it is a product I feel safe feeding my dogs. However, one can out of 6 was totally bent and squished upon arrival, even though the shipping box was fine. It had to have been packaged this way at the factory. At the current price of almost $5 per can, I can't afford to throw away one can out of 6 when I buy it. Unfortunately I can't recommend people buy this knowing that they might receive damaged cans that can't be used. If the cans were sold individually so you could be sure they were undamaged, it might be safer.

Our boy really liked the wet food! He is a very picky Chow-Chow and is not very food motivated at all which is typical for Chow-Chows as they are more cat like as a breed and very self aware of their own wants and will not just eat anything! That said we are very particular about his food bc we know he will not eat at all if we do not give him his particular food! I was surprised that he even tried let alone ate the entire thing and was looking for more! I only received one can and used it twice during the day which he was glad as it was quite a treat! Both times after he was done he searched the house relentlessly for more! We mix d it with his grained dry food that he also loves, but i let home try it without the he dry food first and he still like it! After feeding I watch closely for and signs of digestive upset as he has a very sensitive stomach and usually if a new food is not going to do so well we notice changes immediately! There were no signs that indicated that his stomach was up set! His stools were moral and health and remained that way after we were done with it! I say 5 stars! I wish we had more for him, but will be purchasing for him from now on!

Ewwwwww it’s so gross but do not let that deter you!! That doesn’t matter at all because our extremely picky pup who’s been on a food strike for several days LOVES IT. She has a super testy tummy and it’s hard to find a food she’ll eat all of and keep it down without upset. This actually works and makes her excited for dinner! It’s smelly, and has this (gag) fluid to it. But the actual solid food is one big lump and it’s jiggly like meat jello. You do need to chop it up, and be very careful you don’t accidentally splash your face with digestive fluids. We’ve experienced zero issues with stinky breath, gas, regurgitation, or loose stools. Green Cow is awesome!

If you’re familiar with green tripe food or treats, you know what this stuff smells like- it STINKS! The stinkiness might be a deal-breaker for some, but l don’t mind it so much because after working as a nurse for 45 years, my olfactory cells are permanently burned out, lol. Even if l could smell it properly, l’d still buy it because my dogs really do love it, and believe it or not it’s easy on their tummies. I don’t know if finicky pups would go for this- l’m lucky in that both of mine will eat almost anything l put in their bowls. It would be worth a try to buy a can to see if your dogs like it. I received a free can some time ago, and after my furry kids told me they really loved it and wanted more, l bought a couple of cases when it went on sale at 50% off, which meant that it was suddenly within my budget. Yes, it’s expensive, but when on sale the price is reasonable.

I recommend a million times! I have an exceptionally picky Plott Hound who is allergic to chicken. Since switching her to non chicken food, getting her to eat anything has been an ongoing battle for over a year. On good days she will maybe grab a mouth full or two of dry food and is totally content to skip meals, but she used to leave her bowl (with food containing chicken) empty. I still don't know how she grew to be a healthy 85lbs on how little she ate. I have tried so many food toppers, treats, wet food, dry food, you name it and she just seems to have no desire to eat and became so lethargic. (Before anyone starts judging we have done an elimination diet to determine her allergy as well as extensive blood tests to make sure she wasn't sick.) She simply does not eat unless it’s what she wants. Everyone says “she won’t starve herself” but she regularly goes on hunger strikes for days at a time if it’s not what she wants. I can hear her stomach growling it’s that intense. We have 6mo check ups with blood work and dental exams. Nothing wrong with her aside from the fact that she’s got an attitude problem. When I got the Solid Gold Green Cow Beef Tripe Loaf for Picky Eaters I was hesitant to be hopeful because we've tried so many things. If it's not what she wants, it's just not going to get eaten. I put about two tablespoons of this food topper in with her dry food (Royal Canin) and mixed it up. This is the first time in over a year that my dog has cleaned her bowl. She literally pushed her bowl all around the kitchen trying to lick it clean. Day 2 has the same result. Not only did she clean her bowl again, but she is bouncing around trying to get the cat to play with her. Day 3 I have a completely different dog. She is happy. She is playful. There is light in her eyes instead of Eeyore looking back at me. I would buy a semi truck full of this food just to continue the life it has put back into my sweet girl. I know as far as picky eaters go, what works for me may not work for you, but this stuff is worth trying out. One can of this food topper lasted me 6 days. I put two to three tablespoons per day in with dry food.

I have 6 dogs, yes 6! 5 of them are not picky eaters, but I wanted to see if they liked this wet dog food, and of course, all 5 scarfed down the little bit that I have each of them. The real test was with my fur baby, Kodiak. He is the pickiest eater, human or canine, that I've ever known! I gave him this Solid Gold wet dog food and to be honest, he did eat some of it, actually more than most foods I give him. However, he left a good amount still in the bowl and never came back to eat the rest! So while I can say that my other 5 dogs loved it, and my fur baby did eat more of it than he usually does with most foods, he did not eat all of it, which disheartened me somewhat.

Ariel is the I'll eat it all gimme dog- she didn't care for it at all- a first to see but she was hungry so tried to push thru. I gave her something different gave Cora the rest. So 1 dog by passed the "smell" tore it up No issues the other not so much but saw no I'll affects after eating what she did eat. But can't give it 5 stars. Only 1 dog cared for the sight, taste, smells of this food. The other said NOPE.
