Amazing, i am so happy with this! I had been wanting one for a very long time but held off because of the price, but it is definitely worth it! no more guessing if the basking area is in the right spot or if the light is putting out enough uv. I will save a ton of money in the long run knowing exactly when and how much the uv output has reduced over time instead of just getting worried and changing it too soon.

This thing is amazing, and essential if you are a reptile keeper. Based on the recommendations/settings of my aquatic turtle's UVB lamp/bulbs, and with replacing the bulb every 6 months, he should have been receiving adequate UVB, but after purchasing this I discovered that he in fact was not. I had to change his bulb to the Desert series and now he's getting exactly what he needs. I recommend looking up your reptile's Ferguson zone to see what the UVI recommendation is, then using this Solarmeter, you'll be able to ensure they're receiving the proper amount of UVB. Considering how sick reptiles can become without adequate/appropriate lighting, this Solarmeter is 100% worth the price.

I now can be certain of UVB output for both my dragon and my leopard gecko’s enclosures. I won’t need to swap out the lights based on time used, and instead can be certain of when the output begins to diminish.

Works as intended, compact, and lightweight. Comes with a nice carrying case and the calibration certificate card!
