Right off the bat, I read the difference between ingredients, and I am incredibly impressed by SnakeDiscovery. The list is significantly smaller than the current brand I purchase for Kevin. While the SD cost is almost double in cost than the other brand I use, the Net WT. is 1oz (29g) more than the other. In comparing the smells between the two, the other brand does smell fruity, but SD smells like a banana smoothie. SD brand mixes FAR FAR better than the other brand, and the consistency was very close to a mashed banana with my regular ratio of mix to water. Cons: the price is almost double what I have spent previously, no little scoop Pros: 1oz (29g) more than other brands, better ingredients list, better smell overall, better mixability overall. In my personal opinion, the pros outweigh the two cons, and with only having 1 crested gecko? The price does not bother me. I DO wish there were a little scoop, but I have leftover ones from previous Gecko food bags. Bonus take on the packaging: Thank you, SnakeDiscovery, for having a picture of a crested that truly shows how few thoughts these little lizards have lol

I have 12 New Caledonia geckos (crested, leachie, garg, bavayia, dierogekko, chahoua) and all of them really liked this food. I usually feed a few other brands in rotation and mixed. I tried this solo with them and came back to empty or almost empty dishes. While I can’t testify to this diet’s long term impact on health, breeding, etc. we can at least say it’s palatable and many gecko species like it! Looking forward to adding this to the rotation.

My Gecko(yes named gecko) is super picky. She has to have a blend of 2 or 3 different kinds to make her happy. I feed her right before dusk and her light goes off

My Gecko(yes named gecko) is super picky. She has to have a blend of 2 or 3 different kinds to make her happy. I feed her right before dusk and her light goes off. I have never seen her go to her food bowl that fast and I have never seen her eat for that long. My husband said we should back stock of it because finding Gecko food she loves and is good for her has been a struggle.
