SmartPak SmartSupplements SmartLamina Pellet Horse Hoof Care Supplement, 5-lb bag

My horse has always had excellent feet, and out of nowhere, he foundered this winter. Thankfully it was mild but still quite concerning and painful for him. Following the vet's recommendations and radiographs, he was trimmed and re-radiographed every 4 weeks, kept off the yummy green grass, and I started him on the SmartPak Smart Lamina. Because he is a very picky eater, I feed the supplement at half a teaspoon in his feed twice daily, and slowly moving up to the recommended 80 grams a day, without any problems. His founder recovery progress has been outstanding to date. I cannot definitely say that the lamina support supplement was the reason - there were many farrier trims, free movement, restricted diet and prayers, however I feel the SpartPak supplement was not only an excellent antioxidant addition but also provided pain and inflammation relief in the safe manner.

Received as a trial for horse Gracie. Had crackes in all four feet for 3yrs. Different farriers and different supplements. Nothing worked. She has been in this for about 2 1/2 weeks and after tirm she not re cracking. Will require more tirms but impressed. Product included Devils Claw and seem to help. She trotting around

My gelding eats the SmartLamina pellets without hesitation, and I've noticed some improvement in his hoof growth and general comfort. While gradual, I have begun to see fewer cracks in his hoofs. I'm hopeful that as we continue with the pellets, we will continue to see additional improvement in his overall hoof health.

This looks like it will be a nice product. It’s nice that it comes in a small pellet, the horses eat it much better than a powder. There is a nice smell to it and my horses ate it no problem. They haven’t been on it long enough to know if it makes any difference but time will tell.
