Smallbatch Pets Non-GMO Chicken Meal Bites Freeze-Dried Cat Food, 10-oz bag

I was very appreciative of the high quality mostly organic ingredient list!!! “5 Stars”. My package arrived intact and with no crumbs (as I had read on other reviews). I have 3 senior cats but only one is allowed chicken. She showed no interest in even smelling the dry piece but once mixed in the warm water she gulped down a small portion (as I was slowly introducing into her diet). The next day she wanted nothing to do with it. The following few days she eagerly drank the liquid but didn’t touch the meal bites itself. This pattern continued continued for a month. She’s usually not a picky eater, and there doesn’t seem to be any physical distress after she has eaten (Ie. Gas, constipation, etc..). There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to why she is sporadically eating it, as the days she eats the complete portion of meal bites and liquid are exactly the same as when she only drinks liquid or nothing at all. I am giving her a break and will try again in a couple of weeks (as we still have some of the bag remaining). I would love it if we could incorporate this full-time into her diet as we only have another two months of her present food that has been discontinued and will need a good quality ingredient chicken based food for her. Fingers crossed as I feel the price is reasonable for the amount and quality received.

Love this product! I have 3 cats ages 1 and a half, 4 and 9 years old. They can be picky when it comes to trying new foods but they instantly loved this food. I really liked how easily the bag reseals to hold the freshness. We did a transition from their old food to this new food and all three cats had no tummy issues. Once I portion the food I make sure to crush the food into smaller pieces before adding the water, I found this method to work the quickest at rehydrating the food. My cats also like it dry so I’ve given them a dry piece as a treat. The ingredients are top notch, I went with the chicken option and look forward to having the cats try the other options this brand offers. I would highly recommend fellow cat parents to get this high quality food for their cats.

My cat, Fig, loves Meal Bites. He ate it it with zero hesitation. He was super excited about getting into the package, pawing at it and sniffing it while I opened it. I gave him some dry and I also softened it with water. Fig liked it either way. I also used them as cat treats, too. They're a perfect size for treats. The ingredients seem super high quality, with meat being the first ingredient. My only concern is Meal Bites is the high fat content. I like it as a food topper and for treats, though.

I’ve been using this as a treat and a meal topper for all three of our cats for the last few days and only have fantastic things to say about this food! I’m always drawn to freeze dried food and I couldn’t be happier with the ingredient list, and while I obviously won’t be eating, all of our kitties come running at the first shake of the bag. This is their first time really trying a freeze dried food and I highly recommend it, especially if any of your beasties are picky.
