A PAWsitive but necessary review of Sheba Perfect Portions (Grain-Free)

My cat Vinny is about 5 years old. Had to take him to the vet for issues with throwing up food. It seems that he has a sensitive stomach. I chose to feed him grain-free food. I bought Blue Buffalo Sensitive Stomach food and he kept vomiting the portions that I would give him. I fed my cat Sheba Perfect Portions and he has not vomited once. I feed him a portion every couple of hours. He loves the food, but the calculations on feeding are not very buyer friendly. First, take my cat, a domestic shorthair that weighs about 10lbs, so that's 6 portions twice a day. So that's 6 of those packages a day. If you buy the 12 pack that's like 2 days of food. This food sounds like a snack in between the dry food you give your cat. It should be called perfect portions SNACK for your cat. So if your cat can't handle dry food, you might as well save your money and get something else. This food should be the addition to your cat's diet not the only thing he eats or else you'll be spending a LOT of money. Do I recommend this product? Yes and No. Yes, if you feed your cat mostly dry food. No, if you feed your cat only wet food.

My twins were getting tired of the same old thing every day, they had been getting the pate version of Shebas wet food. We were pleasantly surprised when we found this. I also have never seen a recall with Sheba which gives me peace of mind when getting cat food. From the research I've done, the ingredients are all safe and don't include toxic ingredients like Carrageenan. Definitely recommend.

I have 3 cats. Two are 2.5yo and my old girl is 18yo. She had been feeling and looking her age. I regrettably had her on a lower end food. I decided to go grain free with her and originally picked up some Sheba at the grocery store. She loved it so much, I started getting the 48 portions from Chewy. I was concerned with the cost when I was at the grocers, but the price with Chewy is perfect. My lil mama is looking and feeling great. She had stopped grooming herself and now, with the added nutrients of Sheba, she's back to grooming, and as my actual mama would say "looking as fine as a good wine". Because of Chewy, I am able to keep her stocked of these revitalizing vittles. My friends say my pantry looks like a pet store because of my stock, and I don't mind one bit!

But recipes changed- seafood one has been wayyyy too much gravy, poultry were too dry, last 2 shipments. Plus I do 1/2 can at dinner & she's recently stopped eating leftovers of all the types. She needs variety so I saw the Sheba grain free variety pack reviews & wow.....arrived yesterday, tried salmon & she loved it so much, she didn't even sit to eat! I have this lazy housecat on a diet, with me, so to stand & eat is huge!!!!! She ate 1/2, got all clingy to me, said thank you, texted & ate rest hour later. Clean plate club:-) But I love it because the little containers are perfect portion & now no wasted leftovers. Plus as a fixed income senior now, I love the huge savings but still giving her very healthy food!

My cats absolutely love this! My one cat Vladdy will only eat Sheba!! They are seriously addicted and will beg and plea until they get it. They will meow and jump up on counters and cut you off as you walk, meowing and pleading for just one more perfect portion!!! My cats are seriously addicted to these so bad it’s scary! I have tried other brands of all kinds and Vladdy my grey cat will only eat Sheba. He will turn his nose at anything else. He will bite my feet or sit on my head in the mornings to wake me up then run as fast as he can cut me off and sits at the basket full of Sheba’s yelling until I give him one! Be prepared to break your wallet constantly having to buy these to keep up with your cats addiction.

Worst packaging ever

My first Chewy review (but I just had to)! Conceptually these "perfect portions" are interesting, but the execution is not great. I'm a 55-year-old relatively healthy

My first Chewy review (but I just had to)! Conceptually these "perfect portions" are interesting, but the execution is not great. I'm a 55-year-old relatively healthy male but the grip strength required to open these little packs is ridiculous, especially if you hope to not make a mess all over your hands trying to get them open. I had to bring up a pair of pliers and even those don't work so great. Definitely not recommended for older pet owners and frankly, not even very practical for younger owners. Not environmentally friendly either. The ratio of food to packaging is small. The quality of the food is okay (according to my two cats), but not so overwhelmingly great that it makes me want to rebuy these after I get through this first box.

My Basti is under a year old so she’s fairly tiny, however I find that these are the perfect portion for her. I feed her 3 times a day and each separate pack seems to be the perfect portion for her. She loves all of the flavors and she runs to her bowl every time it’s food time. The only thing I don’t like is the package design. Every time I open one I’m guaranteed to get a splatter of cat food juice on my hands lol....other than that, my cat has no complaints. I recommend this for kittens and older cats who need help with portion control.

Very messy and the girls are twining all around me complaining as Persians do while I do it. They are impatient. I absolutely LOVE Sheba tho for the girls and they love it too! I like the portion size also. So while I recommend it in general...I don't recommend it for ease of use if you have any arthritis in your hands.

According to the veterinarian and with my own research, a new diet was in order. Grain-free wholesome food without artificial coloring & flavor! I started the Little Sheba Cuts and almost immediately I saw changes! No seizures activity, hair growth and he started cleaning himself again!! I credit Little Sheba perfect portions for my cats recovery! Thank you so much for your quality cat food!
