I tried the Sheba Meaty Tender Sticks for my cat. He's very food-motivated, so I thought he would like a different kind of treat. The first time I offered it, he was very interested, but only sniffed and licked the stick, rolling it around on the floor. I don't think he knew how to eat it. So I broke it up into smaller pieces (it has convenient notches to help you break it up, shown in the photo), but he still didn't eat it at that time. Later, after I had put the pieces in his food bowl and he had eaten all his regular dry food, the treat finally got eaten. The second and third time I offered this treat, however, he was eager to eat it, purring and happy. He seems to enjoy it very much, and once even grabbed the unbroken part of the stick out of my hand and started chewing on it. It seems to have a good smell and flavor for him, and he likes the texture as well now that he's gotten used to it.

Monster cat receives a variety of treats for stimulation and texture, but he makes scary growly sounds when he eats these. 10/10 these are his favorite, he sits patiently and pretends he is a good cat when he sees these come out. I find the price sustainable for us to give regularly as a special snack and unlike lickable or more rich treats this never upsets his stomach.

Nova didn't seem to have a real interest in these.There is absolutely nothing wrong with these sticks ,smell great just not Novas preferred snack..Nova tends to enjoy small snacks that he can chew down fast with little effort.Then either go lay down on or under his bed or usually will take time to go look out sliders glass doors or screen if nice out & front window.He thinks he controls the marash of animals that frequently through the back yard,it's a big yard.Theres deer,hords & I mean hords of every kind of bird flying through . Opossums,farrets, squirrels,racoons,skunks,Turkeys(huge)chip.munks,towels,hawks,couple of huge Eagles.Itz amazing and Nova is excited when he sees each & everyone of them!!!

We are trying to give him a variety of good treats, he gets churu with his medicine 3very day and some hard treats every once in a while so I wanted a soft treat

As soonnas he could smell the open package it was game on, he is a very vocal cat so he tells me when he wants something and he is obsessed with these. Will have to try the 40 count next time instead of the 5

Our cats have distinctly different tastes; it's been a trial finding treats they ALL enjoy and that won't make our corn-allergic kitty sick. THESE...after the first tentative sniff and nibble, I got swarmed by all four, demanding MORE MORE MORE (well, MEOW MEOW MIIIIIIIAAAAAAAOOOOOWW MRRROOOOWWWWWW!!! is what they actually said, so the translation is approximate). They finished off the one bag I got as a test (and it's only five sticks, not 50 like the description says, and the sticks are scored into easily-separated bite-sized nibbles), so now I have to order more. Hopefully Sheba keeps these around for a long while!

Both of our cats loved these! When I tried to show them a full stick, they did not much care for it; however, when I broke it up into pieces, they couldn't get enough!

Both of our cats loved these! When I tried to show them a full stick, they did not much care for it; however, when I broke it up into pieces, they couldn't get enough! Luckily, Sheba had predetermined portion sizes nicked into the sticks to make it easy. These are definitely a treat for the girls on special occasions. When they hear the package opening, they go wild! I will say, the perforation on the packaging, in between sticks, is not the best. Sometimes you tear into a side accidentally.

Subsequently, she isn’t quite as excited and still prefers the lickable treats, but both she and Cal, my boy, like them. My orange tabby can take them or leave them. But she’s pretty much like that with everything except the purées. To each their own! Lol

My cats love these so much! It's so cute! They'll do their little tricks for them, and it's really funny to watch them eat what amounts to a cat slim jim. That's why I ordered 110 of them! It was especially cute when Kirby waited until mommy and daddy went to Ikea, pried the kitchen cabinet open with his tiny noodle legs, broke into the meaty stick bag, gnawed the packets open, ate ~12 of them, spread the foil wrapping and pieces of feline-grade chicken jerky all over the floor, invited in the ants, got REALLY high on catnip, and watched the world burn until we came back! Send help! Anyways, great cat treat and a great value!

... and also honestly "emergency" treats because I know my cat will reliably come running when he hears/smells one of these opening, so if he's ever hiding somewhere and I can't find him, I'm not above bribing him with one of these. High quality cat treat that my cat obviously enjoys. He's able to bite off pieces to eat if I hold the stick out for him. It's definitely a soft meat stick though, don't expect a dental treat/something to gnaw on for a long time. Convenient to be able to buy 5 for < $2, especially when I need just a little more in my cart to get me over the free shipping minimum.
