Did Seresto change their formula?

We've been using Seresto flea collars for more than 15 years with all our dogs. The last batch of collars I received, just don't seem to be keeping the fleas off

We've been using Seresto flea collars for more than 15 years with all our dogs. The last batch of collars I received, just don't seem to be keeping the fleas off my dogs. We've never had any issues, but this time around- both my dogs have fleas. Not sure if Seresto changed something in their collars? Perhaps the fleas are getting immune to the collars? My dogs spend most their time inside our house, with daily walks/adventures outdoors, but this round of collars, just aren't living up to the hype we've come to know & trust.

Mixed feelings

These have worked great at doing what they are intended to do. No problem with fleas shortly after I purchased these collars. My smaller dog is having no issues

These have worked great at doing what they are intended to do. No problem with fleas shortly after I purchased these collars. My smaller dog is having no issues with the collar whatsoever but my other dog has been itchy and has a red irritation and some hair loss on her neck from where the collar was. I understand all dogs are different and will respond differently but it is kind of a bummer that I now I'll have to visit the vet and purchase another flea prevention after just purchasing this. This can work great, but may end up needing alternative treatments.

Disappointed

We’ve purchased Seresto collars for out 2 bigger dogs multiple of times and have never had this problem. This one was for our small dog and since day one it’s not wanted to stay on. Every time we turn around we were having to put it back on her. Today it fell off and she chewed it up. This collar was only 2 months. That is a lot of money in the trash!

I have witnessed excellent results with some breeds and poor with others. Generally excellent flea protection, but engorged ticks found repeatedly on Tibetan Terrier’s head. Excellent control on Havanese and Pumi. In my experience the collar cannot be loosened nor removed without cutting. This is false advertising. Even an attempt to compress the loop with pliers is impossible. Therefore, as my Pumi puppy grew the collar was far too tight and had to be cut off. $$$

Not Working This Year

We had an unusually warm winter and that might be part of it but the fleas this year seem completely unaffected by this collar. All my dogs are wearing them and

We had an unusually warm winter and that might be part of it but the fleas this year seem completely unaffected by this collar. All my dogs are wearing them and the cats too they are strictly indoor cats but fleas have been found! We ensued a battle 15 loads of laundry on the hottest setting both washer and dryer. Food grade diatomaceous earth and vacuuming, flea baths, flea comb and ensuring we remove the seresto collars before the bath and putting them back on ensuring they are snug and a proper fit and treated the front and back yard and still the fleas persist. I'm at my wits end and refuse to do oral or topical medications. Have had bad side effects from both. So I'm just lost on what to do for my 3 dogs the cats have not been impacted yet or possibly those collars are working but not the ones for dogs??

Of course, I was hesitant to spend so much money because i have 8 dogs to collar. We were headed for some serious flea prooblems. I was using topical, bathing, etc. A friend recommended Seresto to me and i took a chance. BEST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED. Within 24 hours, the fleas were gone. No more scratching, rubbing on the floors or furniture. My Yorkie's hair is growing back. No odor or greasy feeling. So far, none of my dogs have become ill. I cannot say enough about how impressed and pleased I am with these collars. If you have dogs and fleas, they are the best route to take.

First time collar FAILURE

I have been a big advocate for SERESTO flea collars for a number of years. I am very concerned with my recent collars received Feb 10th 2022. I did not open the new collars until March 27th. Previous collar was still working and flea season was just ramping up. Placed collars on my new pup and my older dog and cat that Sunday (March 27th). Noticed both dogs scratching a lot the last few weeks. Did a detailed flea check today (Sunday, May 29th) and was horrified to find both dogs covered in fleas!? This is the first time I have had a complete FAILURE with these collars. I should have checked them earlier with all the scratching they were doing. So here we are ONLY TWO MONTHS into these new collars and they are simply NOT WORKING? I have read so much about FAKE/Counterfeit collars going around...could this possibly be the case here? I ask this since the cat collar seems to be working as expected? All my previous collars have worked GREAT (usually getting a full 8 months of protection). Something has happened with these 2 collars. I am EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED...out $113.87 (Bundle price) for NOTHING. I firmly believe these collars have not worked from day one! For both my girls to covered with fleas after only 60 days, something is not right here. ALL my previous collars have worked fine? I have made a point of getting these collars only through CHEWY since learning of all the counterfeits out there. I really thought I had found my flea solution...I guess not? Very Disappointed. It's sad you cannot trust anything now days. Always someone wanting to take advantage of you. I don't blame Seresto, because I KNOW their collars work...but if some collars work and some don't, what is the solution? Too bad.
