manages to be both extremely coarse and extremely dusty, making it not good for anybody. my gerbils straight up don't use it. for gerbils, just get reptile sand (w no added calcium)- higher quality AND cheaper. I got this before I knew better, but being advertised for chinchillas and gerbils together is a red flag- chins need very fine dust, whereas gerbils have sensitive respiratory systems so you need to really avoid dust for them.

The whole thing. The bag was a lot smaller than expected and the sand isn’t good bathing sand. It’s like beach sand. Not healthy for hamsters

My Hammies like a sand bath once a week. They enjoyed this.

Bought this because sand is better for gerbils’ lungs. Snickerdoodle likes to roll in it.
