The vet found nothing physically wrong with Cali. She thought it was a behavioral issue. Cali would pee on the bed, on living room furniture and on rugs. We put aluminum foil on the sofas and angled pillows on our 2 recliners to keep Cali off. She just turned 10 recently. The vet finally recommended getting an extra kitty litter box, and getting her the Royal Canin Multifunction Urinary SO + Calm Dry cat food, and since starting her on this food and getting an extra kitty litter box, Cali has not peed anywhere except the litter boxes (her regular one and the new one. What a relief!

It's hard for me to rate this. It seems like a good product, but it didn't work for my cat, hence the three stars. I purchased this because one of the other vet-prescribed foods was giving my poor fells the runs. My cat seemed happy with the switch. He ate the Royal Canin SO Calm enthusiastically. However, he seemed to have an allergic reaction to it. After eating it for a week or so, he began scratching obsessively and licking off patches of his fur--bad enough that I took him to the vet. Since stopping the food and putting him on a new food--yet another prescription brand--he's been returning to normal. Needless to say, I won't feed him this food any longer. Other observations-- I appreciate the information provided on the back of the bag. It's really detailed and complete in terms of helping you figure out how much to feed your kitty. It offers amounts in volumetric and weight measurements. It also gives amounts for using soft food alongside hard food. I wish other manufacturers were as thorough. The bag is sturdy. I didn't need to decant the food into another container because the zipper closure didn't degrade at all. I appreciate the high-quality packaging. Maybe relevant to other potential buyers: We sometimes put dry food in the Catit treat ball, and this kibble is a little too big for the food to come out of the ball easily. Kitty wasn't too happy about that. It will still come out of the ball, but it takes more work on his part. He can be lazy, haha.

My cat had a urinary block that cost quite a bit to unblock. He is only 2 years old. A vet tech who is also a good friend recommended this brand. Freddy, my cat, also has a lot of anxiety so I thought it might be a good idea. Since about 3 days into this food he has stopped pooping outside the litter box, which was a daily occurrence. No urinary blockage. Win win!

My cat had to go to the vet for uncontrollable urinating problems. He would go to the litter box every few minutes and would urinate on towels or objects in the house. Took him to the vet and they recommended this food for him and he has not had any problems since. The 6.6lb bag takes my cat 6 weeks to go through and he eats twice a day!

Our sweet male cat has a history of UTIs and near-blockages. He was recently diagnosed with lower urinary tract disease after a very scary bladder flare up. Within a week on this food, he’s like a different cat. His bladder looked perfect at his recheck and he’s happy, comfortable and zooming around like nothing happened.

My Highlander male has to be on this food due to a urinary blockage. It's highly palatable - he eats it right up. My other cat also thinks this food is delicious, so I have to prevent him from eating it... but I guess that's proof that cats love this food. We haven't had any issues with blockages or UTIs since starting this food.

The vet recommended this food for my over grooming male kitty. I gave him a couple as a treat to get his system used to eating them. I slowly added a few into his food only to have him throw everything up. He will eat them if I hand feed them to him but he is not a fan. It has not calmed him at all and he is licking just as much as before and throwing up the food and hairballs more often. He was eating Iam's UTI control and I will have to out him back on that as he just looks sick all the sick all the time.

Cosmo has had urinary issues since he was born, which ultimately led to surgery after a stone obstruction. He was still having discomfort with urination because he ran out of his box every time he went potty. The vet said there was no infection and recommended this food to calm his bladder. He's done amazing ever since I put him on this food.
