My cat has been eating this food for over a couple of years now. I still have a couple of cans left with an expiration date prior to November 2026. Anything with an expiration date after that time. Is a completely different color and has a bad odor. I even have a picture comparing the two cans. I also have a video of him walking up to the food, smelling it and walking away and then I changed the food minutes later andhe ate it. Not sure if Royal Canin changed the formula or if the food is bad. If you look at the picture, the one on the left is the good one and the one on the right is the bad one. I would like to know if anyone else has had this experience of the cat refusing to eat it.

Princess will be 1 year old 9/5/16. I am in the process of switching her from Royal Canin Kitten Instictives (sliced in gravy) to the Adult version. This is the first time I have ever strictly used only one food for my cat (and I have had many over my lifetime). Her fur feels like a chinchilla. Soft, shiny and her growth has been wonderful on this feed. I also feed her the dry food, she has already switched to the Adult version. Now -- so much for the food. What about purchasing from Chewy. Well -- let me tell you that their service of 2 day free shipping is outstanding and very helpful for this lady who is 68, does not have a car or readily available transportation to go shopping for her food. This experience has been a life-saver. Thank you Royal Canin, Chewy and my princess. I have recommended Chewy to others and my son's vet recommended them as well. Thumbs up.

I spend thousands a year with Chewy and am really fed up with this. I click on the flavor/ style mine will eat, say Adult Instinctive slices, and click the 5oz cans. The software flips me to loaf style that they won;t touch. Software should STAY LOCKED ONTHE FLAVOR WE CHOOSE, I BEG YOU. The other even scammier thing is the "deal." One in three times it's so unclear and/or doesn't apply as specified. so I spend 15 minutes or more with Custy service. It's maddening. Chewy, don;t be slimy!

My boys are RC4L - Royal Canin (thin slices in gravy) for life. They have been eating Royal Canin Thin Slices in Gravy since they were babies. Starting with the baby formula on up. Pistachio Pajama Pants (Poosh) can’t eat dry food & for a long time this was all he would eat. He never gets sick of it & has thrived. Since he can’t eat dry food he requires about 4 small cans of wet food a day, which can be pricey. Of the 4 cans he receives daily, at least 2 have to be Royal Canin Thin Slices in Gravy or I’ll hair about it. His brother Petey likes it too, but not as much as Poosh. I noticed that when Poosh would only eat Royal Canin Thin Slices his fur was considerably softer than Petey’s.

I’m not talking about any product here I’m talking about the people who work there. The last Lady that helped me on the phone was fantastic. I mentioned I missed a sale by one day because I had just gotten home from surgery. Not only did she honor the sale but sent me a Chewy cup and 2 bags of Tee.

My cat has been eating the Royal Canin adult instinctive thin slices in gravy everyday for the past nine months, and he really liked it. However, for my most recent purchase, I notice that both the look and the smell of the can have changed (I checked multiple cans in the pack I bought). My cat wouldn't even touch it. I am very angry about the company's lack of transparency with their formula change. This is a complete waste of money. Someone else also noticed this change, they even took pictures. If you are interested, just search for the reddit thread "Royal canin Adult instinctive thin slices in gravy " on r/catfood subreddit and from March 2025.
