No, this product is not unscented. It's an essential oil-based fragrance. In the overall formula, there is less than 0.1% of cinnamon oil, methyl salicylate (purified wintergreen oil), eucalyptus oil, citrus oil, citronella oil, and clove oil.

Can I use this with a flushable cat litter?

Smell Control For Litter Box

The scent is like peppermint and it doesn’t bother my cats, a boy and girl. The scent is strong at first but lessens in less than 30 minutes. I have a covered litter box, a Buddha I believe. You will want to sprinkle a good amount to cover the litter. The cats scratching in the litter mixes it in. It works great. I use it every other day or three days depending if there is a hot smelly present in the box. It works very well considering I have two cats. One canister of it lasts quite a while. I have tried Arm and Hammer and other brands and this is the one I find works best.

We have five cats. Yes, five of them. And two litter boxes :one for our four cats and another for our senior lady cat. Can you imagine the smell of the box that’s for 4 cats?! Yes, I know, right. Not the best one. We really like this Rocco & Roxie Litter Box Odor Eliminator because it truly works! It mixes easily with the litter, absorbs moisture, and extends the time between cleanings, which means we scoop less and save on litter. Plus, it’s non-toxic and biodegradable, which is a huge bonus for us. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it has a really strong scent, like a really strong one, especially for the first few minutes. Our cats even needed time to get used to it. We noticed they were using the other litter box the one for our senior cat since we didn’t use the odor eliminator there. But eventually, they got used to it, and now they’re back to their regular routine. Overall, we’re happy with how well it controls the smell! This review was collected as a part of promotion .

I was given this Rocco & Roxie Supply Co. Litter Box Cat Odor Eliminator to test out. I only have one cat and her poops and pees are not that stinky. I can say this

I was given this Rocco & Roxie Supply Co. Litter Box Cat Odor Eliminator to test out. I only have one cat and her poops and pees are not that stinky. I can say this helped out as we do have a chair near her covered litter box due to reduced space in our apartment. I would sit in that corner on purpose to make sure the product worked and it did! I was impressed. We have a lot of company come over and some have to sit in that corner and so it was great to know that our friends did not have to deal with the stink.

OMGosh! I stumbled across this liter box odor elimator and it is the best! I already have a Genie but the odor comes from the box. Just a few sprinkles of Rocco & Roxie after scooping and odor is gone!! My house definitely doesn't have cat liter odor. And, Rocco & Roxie smells wonderful. I always have 2 bottles on hand. My 2 cats don't have any issues & didn't need time to get use to the smell either. It last a long time because you only need to use a small amount.

Kills off even the most heinous multi-cat litter box smells

All of this is nice, but when it's time to change the litter bag and you have to open the drawer, omg, the smell could kill a mastodon. I got this just to try it - I mean, it's cheap - and the next time I had to change the box, sprinkled less than a tablespoon in the bottom of the clean litter bag before shutting the drawer. The next time I had to change the bag? WOW. It still had an odor (three pounds of clumped litter and poo is going to have an odor), but it was much reduced, and the smell didn't take over the entire room for an hour. I will be buying this as long as they keep making it.

I have been looking for a replacement for a litter box odor eliminator that I loved, and I hoped this was it. Spoiler alert. It’s not. Aside from this being made from corn husks and not at all similar to a traditional litter texture, it’s highly scented. It’s not even a pleasant, odor eliminating scent. Immediately, you’re hit with a saccharine smell almost reminiscent of bubble gum, and it’s just gross. It claims to be made with essential oils that are safe for cats, but I think it made my cat sick. (We’re still hoping she pulls through.)
