The OA Pain Medicine Most Trusted by Vets

Rimadyl was the first FDA-approved nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for dogs and the most widely approved and recognized by veterinarians. [1] It’s been used to treat over 29 million dogs and counting. [2]

Rimadyl Helps Dogs Get Back to Their Lovable Selves

In one study, dogs showed visual improvements in energy, happiness, activity level, and comfort in just two weeks. [3] When used as directed by your veterinarian, Rimadyl can help relieve the effects of OA, a painful, progressive disease.

Conveniently Offered in Two Forms

Rimadyl is available in both caplet and chewable form. Rimadyl Chewables come in a palatable liver-flavor, designed to taste good to dogs. Keep Rimadyl in a secured storage area out of reach of your dog and other pets. Ask your veterinarian what’s best for your dog.

Pet owners should discontinue therapy and contact their veterinarian immediately if side effects occur. Evaluation for preexisting conditions and regular monitoring are recommended for pets on any medication, including Rimadyl. Use with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids should be avoided. Mich needed her meds right away. I tried going thru Petmeds because it seemed cheaper. Boy was tha a mistake. After going back and forward for a month with Petmeds and never received her meds I changed to chewy. I got her meds in 1week. Now I don't care about the price, my service dog and companion needed me and chewy helped me provide that need.

I love how easy Chewy makes the auto ship medication for our fur babies. I accidentally signed up for two auto shipments once and the gentleman who helped me was so sweet. We resolved the issue quickly, fixed my schedules shipment dates and even made sure we had an updated prescription on file so we wouldn't have any issues moving forward. I have nothing but great things to say about Chewy! My sweet old man appreciates the timely deliveries if his medicine.

Big boost for german shepherd

Thought our athletic, no evidence of hip dysplasia 12.5 yr old White German Shepherd had early degenerative myelopathy with his hind quarter muscle atrophy and bunny

Thought our athletic, no evidence of hip dysplasia 12.5 yr old White German Shepherd had early degenerative myelopathy with his hind quarter muscle atrophy and bunny hops...but a car accident and trial of rimadyl for his injured leg made the hips a non issue. He must have been suffering from degenerative joint disease (aka arthritis) He is back to an almost normal gait and jumping for his tossed balls. Spirits and activity markedly improved on just 1 rimadyl daily. His labs were fine after 4 weeks of treatment and still happy. Our vet suggested Chewy as cost only 40% what her practice charged. Good arthritis med and well tolerated. Wish we had started tx earlier. Thank you.

Works but Dangerous

I would much rather my dog take gabapentin but I’m having a difficult time getting him to eat even a flavored gabapentin chew. He will readily eat the name brand

I would much rather my dog take gabapentin but I’m having a difficult time getting him to eat even a flavored gabapentin chew. He will readily eat the name brand Rimadyl from Chewy, however, I wish other meds could figure out how to make their medications as palatable as Rimadyl is to dogs. Rimadyl is an extremely dangerous medication and even though it does work, I fear for my dog taking it. I have zero worries about gabapentin as me, my husband, friends, and family all take it ourselves and it has none of the dangers or side effects of Rimadyl and the other NSAIDS on dogs. So my review would be, yes, it seems to work and your dog will eat it but please research the dangers and look into alternatives like gabapentin, turmeric, and things like that.

The Best Pain Managent

My service dog has Swimmers Tail and bc he is always so happy he is ALWAYSwagging his tail. Rimadyl is the only pain management that actually works. During an emergency

My service dog has Swimmers Tail and bc he is always so happy he is ALWAYSwagging his tail. Rimadyl is the only pain management that actually works. During an emergency surgery we ran out and chewy was our only option for a quick delivery. It did get delayed by 4 days and that was very upsetting bc my boy was in pain. But when it came he got a dose and was finally able to get good sleep.

Rimadyl over Meloxicam any day!!

I have been a firm believer in Rimadyl for years due to owning Giant Breeds for years. Meloxicam has NEVER worked for me OR my dogs! Literally does NOTHING. Rimadyl

I have been a firm believer in Rimadyl for years due to owning Giant Breeds for years. Meloxicam has NEVER worked for me OR my dogs! Literally does NOTHING. Rimadyl is pricey & difficult for me to afford because I am on my own but it helps my Saint Bernard's severe Hip Dysplasia so dramatically that it is worth the cost. I have given Meloxicam several chances & it has never helped anybody in my family Or any of our pets!

Generic version is easier on her tummy

Carprofen has been fantastic at managing my senior girl’s arthritic pain in her hips over the last few months but my vet office frequently changes manufacturers

Carprofen has been fantastic at managing my senior girl’s arthritic pain in her hips over the last few months but my vet office frequently changes manufacturers meaning the efficacy and pill form aren’t always the same. I thought ordering the brand name from Chewy would bring some peace about at least knowing I’m getting the exact same pill every refill but it turns out my girl can’t tolerate anything but the generic. Just a week of these pills has caused days of GI upset so I’m now having to purchase a new bottle from my vet’s office. This has been a very expensive lesson!
