My dog had a neurological reaction to the medication. Within 30 minutes he seemed mentally aloof, his eyes slightly rolling back into his and had a hard time staying awake and focused. For several days after administering the medication, he remained agitated and his body twitched a lot during the night and on some occasion during the day. This medicine worked 2 years ago when we needed it for mange but this time around I wont be giving him another dose. If your dog is sensitive to medicine like mine, make sure to monitor them after application.

Grissom has well controlled IBD and is M/N for the MDR1 gene - we have to be very cautious about what goes past those lips - a single slip up and we’re looking at vet bills! Revolution passed both of our safety boxes - it’s not given orally, so his belly is kept safe, and it doesn’t trigger an MDR1 reaction (which has been an issue despite the M/N status). I was initially concerned about localized skin reactions as well, but he’s always been fine after application. This solution works as intended; he’s never had parasites since being on the Revolution. I have dogs and cats living together and unfortunately most preventative meant for dogs, is toxic for cats. I’ve used revolution for years with my own pets as well as fosters. Kittens and puppies as well. It is very easy to put on and dries quickly. No harsh odors and have never had any problems with skin reactions. And it kills and clears up ear mites quickly too. If using for a flea infestation you will need to be realistic about your situation. It will kill the existing fleas on your pet as they bite. The eggs in your carpet and other areas of your home will continue hatchingbiting..and dying. You will need to either let that cycle run its course or you need to address the issue immediately by researching how to remove the infestation from your home . Once the Revolution is on your pet and working, it will start killing off the fleas that are feeding. You will need to handle the remaining eggs and fleas in your carpets etc if you have a large problem. We live on a mountain with wildlife etc and fleas and ticks are common. We have zero fleas in our house or on our pets as we are diligent about keeping them on Revolution once a month as directed. The occasional tick we may find is always dead. Once they bite, the Revolution kills them before they can even swell. If you want a preventative that doesn’t have to be eaten by your dog in order to work, and you have cats to worry about as well, then this is a great choice.

I will be canceling my subscription. This has gone from $140 a year to $400 a year that’s not only tariffs. Plus; this is literally poison swimming in the blood of my pet and the have to be bit by the bug for it to work. Not worth this type of money.
