Although a bit pricey, I do love this product. Easy to apply on the back of their necks, I make sure to prevent them from trying to lick it off, and it has proven to be effective. I haven’t noticed any side effects ever, and it definitely works - I had stopped using it the first month I moved to FL because my cats were indoor only. Well that was a mistake because they immediately got fleas and I had to throw so many things away. I got them back on the meds and haven’t had any issues so clearly it’s been working!

My thirteen year old cat is indoor/outdoor, so she has lots of opportunities to pick up fleas and ticks during the spring, summer and fall in New England. Her vet recommended this product and I have used it successfully for many years. She has hyperthyroidism, and her weight can fluctuate. The different dosages based on weight gives me confidence that I am not over or under dosing her. There is nothing worse than a flea infestation in the house! This product reliably has prevented this and my cat has not shown any ill effects. As a personal note, my vet recommends she has a monthly dose year round. However, my cat does not go out in the winter and has no contact with other animals, so I often skip December, January and February. That is my decision to reduce her exposure to chemicals that I feel are unnecessary. This is very easy to apply.

It works!

I was using Frontline Plus on my 4 cats for 3 months to get rid of fleas that I must have carried in on my shoe this fall (all my cats are strictly indoor). Frontline was recommended by a friend who works at a vet as being a less expensive and quickly available option compared to prescription flea treatments. I'm sure it works fine for some, like my mom for her outdoor cats (she swears by it). But I read fleas can develop a resistance to it. In my case, they clearly did. I ended up with a mild-moderate infestation that just seemed to be progressively getting worse. My Vet recommended Revolution Plus. What a HUGE difference in just the first few weeks. With carpet treatment, loads of vacuuming and laundry, mattress encasements on every couch, cushion, pillow and mattress, were finally gaining our normal home back! They aren't 100% gone, but it hasn't even been a full month on Revolution and it's significantly better. The vet did warn it could take 3-4 months on this new med to fully eradicate them. But in the meantime, it's really nice for me and my babies not to be constantly scratching. Fingers crossed this continues to work as well as it has these past few weeks!!

Works great, causes some hair loss.

My cat has been on Revolution Plus for almost 2 years with no side effects other than a little hair loss at the application site. I try to avoid the same spot two

My cat has been on Revolution Plus for almost 2 years with no side effects other than a little hair loss at the application site. I try to avoid the same spot two months in a row but there isn’t a whole lot of area either so she sometimes has a noticeable balding spot. Still, I haven’t found anything better that I trust to safely prevent fleas and ticks. My one tip for new cat parents is to not move the skin around when applying. Just part the fur and apply. Cats have loose skin that easily shifts and I made the mistake of moving her skin too much so that the application site ended up close enough for her to lick off and I had to give her a panicked bath.

High quality

I saved these lives for a reason, to provide love/care/attention as they deserve, nurse them back to health and healing while adding a significant amount of time to their little lives. Therefore....(even though they are inside cats, yet they do only go outside while monitored the whole time since we do not have a fence all the way around with the beautiful nature and waterway behind us that includes an eagle, coyotes, and whatever other predators..).. I prefer them to have the best, most efficient, reliable, high quality, safe flea or pest control medication that covers a vast majority of pests by killing and/or preventing more pests than most of the others. This includes more types of ticks, ear mites, and I believe one other thing.. those pests are not only a nuisance, bothersome and irritating, They can also make them very ill especially since one of my babies has always been a little sickly..That is also not the quality of life I am trying to provide for them.

Healthy Skin/coat with no nibblers

Every doctor at my veterinary care facility recommended this particular medication, “revolution plus,” for my American shorthair tortoiseshell cat. When I started

Every doctor at my veterinary care facility recommended this particular medication, “revolution plus,” for my American shorthair tortoiseshell cat. When I started the medication, I immediately noticed that it was easier to apply with a routine. The small squeeze tube of medication has a cap that you push down that opens the tube. Since you push it down it does not leak. When I apply to my cat’s parted hair in the middle of the back of her neck , I always do the same thing in the same room and turn on a specific very noticeable light. All I have to do is push my fingers into the back of her neck and push the hair apart and apply it. When applied this medication has kept my cat free of ear, mites, ticks, fleas , and several other pests that can make you and your cats life itchy. It does have a heavy smell upon breaking the seal with the cap, but dries quickly and allows you to pet the “wet” area within hours.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Selamectin/sarolaner does NOT prevent tapeworm infection in any capacity. Does it work to prevent fleas, ticks, and some digestive parasites? Yes. Quite effectively, too! But, for whatever reason, the manufacturer has chosen not to include tapeworm preventatives in that drug cocktail. My 100% indoor cat now has tapeworms despite consistently being on Revolution Plus. I did some research and it turns out that cats can still get tapeworms, even if they're on this preventative, if they accidentally ingest an infected flea while grooming themselves (remember, these drugs only kill fleas and ticks after they bite, so they can still potentially be on your cat's fur or skin). Sorry, but what is the point of a flea preventative that does not protect against tapeworms, which literally come from infected fleas? Again, considering that these drugs do not prevent fleas from landing on your cat, they should contain an anti-tapeworm drug in the event that your cat ingests a tapeworm-infected flea. I'm now having to treat both of my cats for a ZOONOTIC parasite that this drug cocktail confusingly & frustratingly does not protect them against, despite the fact that a box of it costs as much as an electric bill for a large house. I will be immediately switching to a preventative that DOES contain an anti-tapeworm drug.

I tried using Advantage on my 4 year old cat that I recently adopted from a shelter. She lost fur and had scabs where it was applied on my neck. I got in touch with the shelter and for our that they used Revolution Plus on her. I tried the Revolution and it worked fine. It was gentle on her skin. There wasn't any lost fur, skin scabbing, or her trying to rub it off.

Community Cats Protection

I love this product as it protects all my feral/community cats that I care for. Their being outside all the time, plus one of them being indoor/outdoor, I can rest

I love this product as it protects all my feral/community cats that I care for. Their being outside all the time, plus one of them being indoor/outdoor, I can rest assured that they are and am being protected from Fleas, Ticks, Heartworms, + Broad Spectrum...etc. My only complaint is that it is very expensive, especially when I am caring for 15+ cats/kittens and I just want to make sure that at least someone cares enough about them to keep them safe and healthy and comfortable. Once I started using this, I didn't notice all the scratching that was going on with them. It truly is a great product and I can say worth the money, but it would be great if it wasn't so expensive.
