I was shocked when I found a product with the same active ingredient as Revolution for 1/3 of the price, and it works! My only complaint is that it caused my little Punky to have a vomiting and lethargy episode about 6 hours after administration. She puked about 4 times in 1 to 2 hour intervals, slept, and didn't want to eat or play. She was back to normal and fine the next day. I know that side effects are a risk with any medication but she never had any side effects on her usual Revolution <5 lb 15 mg dose. This was her first time on the 5 - 15 lb 45 mg dose instead of her usual 15 mg dose, and that may have been too much for her. She only weighs 6 lbs so it could've been too high of a dose as I'm sure the dosage can vary from animal to animal! I'm going to talk to my vet about the 30 mg dose Revolt has for dogs since it has the exact same ingredients in it but at a lower dose (Selamectin, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Isopropyl Alcohol) Over all, I recommend and I'm glad I found this very affordable alternative! Save some money and still have great protection!

Decent product, bad applicator

The product itself seems to work pretty well, I prefer revolution but the cost is rising so I decided to try this product instead. my biggest complaint is It is so hard to tell if you got all of the product out with the applicator tip, I work at a vets office and have administered many flea and tick products and this is by far the most difficult one, I wasted multiple doses of product because you can barely see inside the tip to ensure the whole amount has been administered. In my opinion it can also be difficult to hold a feisty kitty cat long enough to apply the flea and tick product correctly and this applicator does not help in a situation like that at all.

One trick to make it easier to apply

I used to have great difficulty applying this style of medication to my cats. They would do everything to squirm away, even with treats and/or food right in front

I used to have great difficulty applying this style of medication to my cats. They would do everything to squirm away, even with treats and/or food right in front of them. Then I tried warming up the vial in my hand for a few minutes before I opened it and apply it to a cat. This worked wonders! I still give them a licking treat on a plate to distract them, but there's almost no squirming or trying to escape anymore. I've done this for a few months now to make sure it wasn't a fluke, but it worked so much better every time. I used to dread trying to apply this to my cats, but simply warming it up in my hands made all the difference. I hope this helps other cat parents. My cats are indoor only, but I use this preventatively in case something is tracked into the house. I have used this brand on my cats for over a year and they have not had any adverse reactions (or parasites), and it is much less costly than the name brand version.

Works just like revolution only better!

If you haven't tried it and want to save money and get the same effects of the same product only cheaper! I mean who doesn't want to save as much as possible. But

If you haven't tried it and want to save money and get the same effects of the same product only cheaper! I mean who doesn't want to save as much as possible. But when it comes to my animals I make sure that they only get the best wether it's name brand or generic and this works better than revolution from my personal experience I put it on my cats neck when he's sleeping of course he wakes up right when I start to put it on but also the way you open it is so convenient the lid doesn't come off all you do is twist it and it breaks the seal and the tip of the lid will have a hole on it and you just push the revolt either in one spot on the back of the neck in between the shoulders or you can split it and put a drop here and another down a little bit and another one but remember the last time you push any out keep your fingers pushed onto the tube and not let go until you've already administered it and are done. If you happen to let go of the tube while it's on the skin it can actually pull some of the liquid back into the tube which I just found out by the new box that they just made so I'm letting everyone know the same thing cus you want your cat to get every drop of it. So when you squeeze the last bit out don't release until it's off the skin that way you know it's all on your cat. It hasn't given him any irritations at all and for a topical I love it. Btw I'm a veterinarian technician retired but when I first got the revolt I was expecting the lid to come off so I tried and tried and then lost the first dose because I ended up squeezing it on myself as I didn't know the lid stayed on just a twist and it breaks it and your good to go. Love this product will stick to it for my cat and highly recommend for anyone else with a cat. It does everything from fleas to the larvae to the mites and heartworm prevention.

Price and convience

Buying from chewy is much more affordable then my local vet. My local vet charges me $37 a month for a single dose of medicine while chewy charges $37 for 3 months

Buying from chewy is much more affordable then my local vet. My local vet charges me $37 a month for a single dose of medicine while chewy charges $37 for 3 months worth of meds. Same quality and same brand. I have not regretted making the switch. I encourage everyone to look at the medicine their vet has them subscribed too and compare the prices to chewy. It will save alot of money especially for those with multiple pets.

It works

First, so far, it works on all the cats that I have used it on. Currently, we have 4 and not a flea in site. 4 stars and not 5 because 2 of my cats cannot tolerate the rubbing alcohol smell. One you have to sneak up and distract her. The other really hates it and it takes two people. The two younger cats (currently 9 months old) tolerate it well. I really like the price on revolt versus the other brands. Keep in mind, this formula does not cover ticks but I am not concerned about ticks for my cats. I did research and spoke to my vet and we both agreed that the added tick ingredient found in some other formulas was not necessary. Will continue to use this. Have used it for four years on a total of 5 different cats without any issues. The two kittens came to us with fleas and the two older cats did not get any.

I'm own a Ragdoll Cattery and am very particular on the products I use. Revolt offers everything my cats need in one single monthly application per cat. I love that the generic price is less expensive as it allows me to offer my cat colony the protection they need every month giving me peace of mind while insuring my cats stay healthy! Thank you Chewy! I appreciate your company and I highly recommend this product to all my clients who purchase their cats and kittens from me.
