4 Customer Questions
Did anyone seal the bottom edges with silicone? Or is this an unnecessary step
Answer by Sheena • Apr 02, 2026
Yes, I did. I feel it’s necessary given any setup.
Has anyone kept a rainforest reptile in it? We have a red footed tortoise and I'm having trouble finding something that will hold lots of moisture/humidity.
Answer by • Jun 25, 2026
This enclosure maintains optimal heat and humidity levels with low thermal conductivity and high insulation.
The top is solid? what kind of fixtures work with this cage. can you cut out holes to have fixtures on top?
Answer by • Jun 06, 2026
The Reptile Kages 4x2x2 Premium PVC Reptile Enclosure features a solid PVC top. The manufacturer recommends using heat projector lamps, basking bulbs, or radiant heat panels and advises against using ceramic heat emitters. This enclosure is not designed to be modified, and holes should not be cut into the top.
Will an undertank heating pad work with the PVC bottom?
Answer by • Aug 23, 2025
Under tank heating can only be used with enclosures that have recessed bottoms built for them. It is not suitable for this enclosure.
