Instructions
BREEZE Litter System uses specially-designed litter pellets that allow liquids to pass through to the absorbent cat pad that sits in the tray below. It also helps dehydrate solid waste that remains on top for quicky, easy scooping. Urine is absorbed by the disposable pad.
- Scoop out solid waste and dispose of daily. Note: Litter pellets do not clump.
- Add more litter pellets as necessary. Note: Litter pellets generally last one month.
- Slide drawer out to replace soiled pad. Drawer can be rotated 180 degrees, without touching the pad, to extend pad life. Note: Breeze Pads generally last up to one week for a single cat.
Transitioning Your Cats Successfully:
- Set up your new BREEZE Litter System next to your current litter box. If you don't currently use a litter box with high sides or a top, remove the BREEZE hood for now.
- Move some clumps and solid waste from your current box to the clean BREEZE system. This will help your cats recognize their new bathroom. Once they start using the BREEZE box, you can remove the clumps and solid waste.
- Stop cleaning the old litter box. Cats like clean, so make the new BREEZE box the most appealing option by not scooping the old box. Sounds gross, but this step is key to a successful transition.
- Add the hood with the lid open at first. Once your cats are using the BREEZE system regularly, close the hinged top.
- Toss out that old box completely once your cats have started using the BREEZE system for all of their potty needs. Store in a dry place.

I never write a review but this is worth it

Switching to this kitty litter system has made my life SO much easier. My long-haired cat is somewhere around 17 years old now, and he has kidney disease. His urination patterns have drastically increased over the last couple of years and its made kitty litter an awful chore. I was using sWheat scoop for years, but it did nothing to hide the smell (which has also gotten worse with his age) and he did manage to track it around the house a bit. So I decided to switch to Arm and Hammer and that was a complete nightmare. The tracking was awful, it was on the couch and in the bed, and he would actually come out of the litter box wet sometimes and leave dusty paw prints all over the floors. I decided to switch to the Breeze system after looking at some reviews and WOW has it made a difference. The pads soak up all of his urine (its almost comical how bloated they are after a week) and I notice 0 smell. He doesn't have very stinky poops, but I find it way easier to pluck them out and toss them in the trash with a doggy poop bag rather than scooping every other day. He used to smell like his litter, but not anymore! And maybe like, 4 pellets come out of the box per week, no more awful tracking. This thing is amazing and I will sing its praise to literally everyone I know. Note: My cat is on his way out, and the vet has advised me to just make his life comfortable so I'm aware his pee patterns are indicative of a bigger problem. I'm just happy I found this system to make both of our lives a bit more enjoyable during the time we have left together.
Will never go back to regular litterbox
I've had the breeze system for years. My cats (now cat) adjusted really well with no wait time. Is it more expensive? Yes. Is it worth it not to have gross unsanitary
I've had the breeze system for years. My cats (now cat) adjusted really well with no wait time. Is it more expensive? Yes. Is it worth it not to have gross unsanitary litter that gets everywhere and is hard to clean up? Absolutely 100%. I've read some reviews about pellets being outside the box (well sure, cats try to cover) and some getting stuck in the grate and pee at some places. Well sure. This doesn't magically vacuum up pellets and pee. You have to do SOME amount of work to keep it clean. Come on now. To avoid the pellets getting stuck, after I scoop or change the pee pad, I move the pellets around with the little shovel and that includes getting all the way to the bottom. I also just pick up the stray pellets when I see them and throw them back in. This is NO big deal. I also use the 7lb bag vs the 3.5. Just my preference. Another tip is to turn the pee pad tray around to evenly distribute since some cats prefer one spot. Of course pee will overflow if they're used to going in one spot only. Nothing is perfect but this comes close. Litter is awful. To have the pee go onto a pad is great! I bought a diaper genie that I put the bagged used pads into and then into the bag in the genie. I rarely smell anything at all unless it's a fresh poo.
Close but not quite...
Tidy cat almost got it with this box. The drainage feature is wonderful. However they greatly missed with the hood design. I had the previous box without the hood
Tidy cat almost got it with this box. The drainage feature is wonderful. However they greatly missed with the hood design. I had the previous box without the hood and had the same issues where the cat pee ended up where it shouldn't. So, after paying a lot of money for hits box I had to make a few modifications and now the box works perfectly. 1. Although you might be excited about the cover that pushes back for easy clean, looks are deceiving on the website photos. First they have the same lip as the old box that hooks around and takes about an inch and half of space away from the box. The lid just sits down on top of it. It doesn't sit in anything or snaps down to make a seal, just sits on the HUGE lip. The door opening is very wide and I found my cat peed outside the box as well as on the lip, which made it drain outside the box and onto the floor as well as in the handles of the pull out drawer (same issue with the other box). I don't know why they didn't use an engineering brain and make the hood sit into a groove to seal and let the pee run down into the box. Fail, just a huge fail. I removed the ridge of both the hood ledge and the hood lip to add more space back in (using super cutters and a file). I took a sheet of galvanized steel and cut out the box and folded from in and out with the bottom ledge of the steel going below the hood so that it went into the box so when the cat peed it would drain into the box and not out from underneath the hood. She still managed to pee out the front so I lifted up a piece of the sheet to make an inch higher lip for her to step over and into and to date she has not managed to pee outside the box. 2. the tidy cat pellets. They are genius, however I felt they smelled after a couple days. I tried washing them and even though that helped, I got tired of it. I switched to the Blue Walnut Pellets and they are amazing. no smell and as it breaks apart it falls down onto the pad below adding another layer of protection. I just use doggie bags to scoop out the poop. 3. When it comes time to wash the box, do not use Clorox wipes to clean this box, it makes one funky smell. Instead, I found using simple green really helps eliminate the urine odor from the plastic. They do come in wipes or you can use the spray and paper towels. Overall I do love the concept of the box, but feel Tidy cat focused on trying to make it easier for the human consumer they forgot the main user of this box...the cat.
Good when you learn the hack
Ok so here’s the thing, not dealing with ripe cemented urine, is not missed at all. So being able to slide out a tray and discard it in one fail swoop. Priceless
Ok so here’s the thing, not dealing with ripe cemented urine, is not missed at all. So being able to slide out a tray and discard it in one fail swoop. Priceless. However, the clay pellets are a fail of epic proportion. I had been using skoon, which is far better in the poop dehydration business, but a small fortune. This stuff doesn’t come even close to drying anything out. My cat lets loose twice a day. The pellets claim to last a MONTH. I’m sorry, no. Not even close, not even a week. I set up the box on a sat, and by tues, a quarter of them had gone into the trash, with the poop they were all glued to. Secondly, because it doesn’t dry, if you want to... idk not smell feces while waiting for nature to do its thing... forget about scooping it. The scooper looked like a blown up diaper by the end of it. Not to mention the handful of clay pellets that now had smeared poop all over them. The system as intended, is a complete mess. However, after spending nearly $50 on a box, I was determined to make this work. Thanks to many others who felt the same, I’ve discovered that feline pine is literally pennies in comparison, and large enough to not fall through the holes. I actually enjoy the smell (fresh out the bag of course) and at a fraction of the cost, I’m not cringing at all the pellets I’m losing. A 40lb bag at $16! The pine turns to dust in the pad, although most of the urine actually made its way passed the pellets and through the grated tray as intended. Another hack is that if you’re dealing with a less firm poop, I find that using dog poop bags is a much easier solution. Bag over hand, one quick motion. Done. If you insist on not using pine litter, I in no way recommended this. If you’re willing to bend the rules, it’s pretty amazing. Note* please don’t use pine pellets that isn’t safe for cats, it is toxic.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!

We have had this system for two years now, so we have the uncovered box. I absolutely LOVE it!!!!! The pad gets turned around mid week and changed at the end of the week, sometimes it even goes 8-9 days. The poo gets scooped daily (the box is in my bathroom where I see it when I use the restroom, so when there’s something in it, I clean it and it’s done! And since I go several times a day, I stay on top of the issue, unlike the old boxes I had where I’d forget, until it was really gross!!!) and I love that the pellets just fall of of it when you scoop and shake them a bit. I haven’t even replaced my pellets, just added more to them when they get low. My cat also pees in one spot, but no big deal, I simply turn the tray around when the one end gets soiled and he pees on the other end!!! When that end is covered, I change to a new pad, it’s really no problem at all. Seems like an easy solution to just turn the tray around because it fits in, either way you turn it, so no issue there either!! I HIGHLY recommend the Tidy Cat Breeze System to every cat owner!!! It’s just so much easier and, oh my gosh, SO much cleaner than the dusty, old litter systems!!!! The few pellets that he tracks out can be easily and quickly swept up with a small dustpan and brush that I keep by the box. And that was only $1 at Dollar Tree, so not a big expense there either!! Just like anything new, if you think positively, you’ll more than likely, have positive results!! Good Luck!!!!!
Fairly good product.

First of all, I think this product needs to be wider and taller. If you have a fairly large cat this is not going to work for you. I mainly bought this to keep my dog out. She doesn't like to stick her head in little openings! So this has been working for us. There is no more mess all over the house from the dog digging in the litter box. We are already Breeze box users! So there was no transition. Even so, my cat has never been picky about boxes. However, if your cat is a picky cat you're going to have a really hard time in my experience with my grandmother's cat. We tried to transition him over to the breeze box, and he is just really picky and just started peeing and pooping on the floor. Eventually, she gave up and went back to her original litter. I think this is just a product of trial and error. Sometimes you get lucky and the cat likes it and sometimes they don't. But, that is not a reflection on the product. I have no issues with smell. However I do clean my litter box once a day. I change the pads twice a week. Because I prefer that! It doesn't necessarily have to be done. Also, as a sidenote. Someone that is in a wheelchair permanently... that is very limited in their mobility may enjoy this more, because it's easy to clean and there's no excess litter to sweep up. This has saved my back and my time when it comes to cleaning up.
So far, so good!
I am a brandy new cat owner of a 10 week old kitten. I am kind of a neat freak and don’t want nasty smells or litter all over the place. This seems to do the trick
I am a brandy new cat owner of a 10 week old kitten. I am kind of a neat freak and don’t want nasty smells or litter all over the place. This seems to do the trick as long as you discard the poo ASAP. The pellets are nice because they don’t get stuck to the feet and tracked outside of the box. They also only need to be replaced monthly (which is nice). The urine soaks right down through them and onto the pad in the bottom drawer with ZERO odor! I used the pad for a full 7 days and did not smell a thing. However, there is no odor control for the poo, but so far she seems to be on a schedule with that and it’s when I’m home, so I flush that right away. I also like that the hood lifts up in the front for easy access(see photo).
Success and Now Perfect Box

The adjustment battle took six days! In fact I went to bed last night planning on putting her old litter box back up and forgetting the system. I ran a dual litter box till day five. My cat had been insistent upon peeing in the new box without the hood. And pooping in her old box. I removed the old box completely yesterday. It was getting really smelly. Before bed I decided to put the hood back on. I left it in the position that you use when cleaning the Box. That gave her more room to move around. The box is extremely small. And my cat is only 8 pounds. I told her this is it when I went to bed. I was going to put the old box back in the morning. The miracle happened overnight! I would not recommend the box for anyone with a cat larger than mine. I know there's a new bigger box out however it doesn't seem that the pad runs all the way under the new box. My cat would probably decide the only place to pee was where the pad was not! Having said all of that, I love the box. Now that my cat has bonded with it I do believe it's going to be a winner. I highly recommend the system! That is for a smaller cat like mine.!
Way too small!
I think Tidy Cats came out with a great concept... but it's way too small! Maybe if you have a very small cat, 5-7 pounds. Experts recommend that a litter box
I think Tidy Cats came out with a great concept... but it's way too small! Maybe if you have a very small cat, 5-7 pounds. Experts recommend that a litter box be at least 1.5 times the length of the cat so the cat has enough room to turn around and comfortably do his business. My cat, Vinny, pictured next to the Breeze is 12.5 pounds (not overweight) and it's way too small for him - nowhere near the recommended 1.5 times his body length! Also, the domed design causes loss of headroom, further cramping the cat. Attaching a picture of Breeze next to their old Nature's Miracle litter box. Note how much bigger and how much more headroom Nature's Miracle has over Breeze. If you were a cat, which one would you choose? This was especially disappointing since Vinny has asthma, and I had hoped Breeze would be good for his asthma - but it's way too small! Even my two smaller cats (9 pounds and 10 pounds) have no interest in squeezing into Breeze - it's too small for them too. On the plus side, Tidy Cats does have a money back guarantee, and after contacting Tidy Cats, they are refunding me and said they would pass my comments on to Quality Assurance.
hooded breeze box

I have had this box now for a few weeks. I do not have a large cat ( 9 #'s ) and it has been difficult to get her to use this box. She had a substantial size covered box which gave her plenty of room to dig around. I finally took away her old box to force her into using the Breeze. She was NOT happy. Thankfully, she is using it reluctantly. This Breeze box is severely lacking in head space due to the domed design. Also, the top to bottom fit has just the right amount of gap to allow pellets to be thrown out of the box and onto the floor. I like the concept, however, does the maker of this product own cats? I would like to see this produced offered in a larger size, NO DOME LID. A lid, yes, but not domed and one that has a more snug fit. And a door over the opening. Some of us live in very small spaces and would rather NOT see/smell the results. If I had the means, I would love to buy the PeeWee system. Check it out on YouTube ! Unfortunately, they are not in the U.S. But the litter system seems to be far superior than any I have seen in the U.S. As you can see from my pictures, I applied a make shift door on the Breeze to keep the fresh smell of her poop in the box. I was not too keen on the price of the Breeze but was willing to splurge for a system I could use with pellets. So, in conclusion, its ok at best.
