He really likes them but all of a sudden he wouldn’t touch them, after smelling them I understood, they smelled rancid, we kept them in a hall closet that is dark and cool, it’s where all his food and snacks have always been kept if they didn’t require to be in refrigerator. So I took the un-opened bag and gave him 1 and he gobbled it up! I then put it in the fridge and he eats them each night no problem. I tried to put the other bag in fridge and give them to him but he won’t touch them, they still stink! No where on the bag does it say to keep in the fridge but I highly recommend it, otherwise you will end up with a full bag of expensive items that they won’t touch.

We gave her these supplements in the morning with breakfast. They were soft not chewy, but crumbly soft and she liked them very much. Every day she enjoyed them and didn't lose interest in them after a few days. Sometimes I've had where my dog will stop eating a chew supplement after a few days because they weren't tasty enough to hide the "vitamins" flavor. If you have a smaller dog, these might be too large. I was surprised by their size, the diameter of a nickel and fairly thick. I've only used 2 weeks because I didn't realize a daily dose was 2 chews so 30 didn't cover a full month. That being said, my dog didn't show any signs of being allergic to its ingredients and I have to keep her on them longer as it hasn't been long enough to determine if they were actually beneficial .

I mix this prescription kibble 2:1 with my bull dogs Pro Plan “Lamb & Rice” dog food. This mixture has been helping our bull dog, Willy, for the past 12 years - Willy has always had a sensitive stomach & bowel issues - this veterinary diet kibble has worked, for sure. Willy is now going on 14 years old. Ie. mix 2 parts EN Gastroenteric kibble to 1 part Pro Plan kibble - adjust so stool is not too hard.

Unfortunately, these are not enjoyed by any of our dogs. They are not picky eaters. They dislike these to the point that they will refuse them even with wet dog food or high value treats masking the supplement. I do not believe there are any issues with the product, and when the dogs ingest them, all is well, but this may be a case of simply not wanting to take their vitamins! Just wanted to pass on that your dog may say no even if you have purchased the good stuff!
