My little fatty LOVES this food. She cleans her plate every time. I sometimes need to give her a little more. In the past, she would take a few bites and walk away. Friskies, hills rx, fancy feast would be wasted. She's still eager to eat this food even after a few months of eating it, which is rare for any cat. We've also noticed that she's looking to play more and seeks out her toys. I paired this with hills rx r/d dry food which is working out very well. I highly recommend for fat felines with a fussy palate.

I want to give my cats this good for them food, especially my diabetic cat, but all my kitties are around 10-14 years old with teeth lost through the the years and they just don't/can't chew pieces.they are also lazy. I thought that I had solved the problem when I bought a baby food blender. It is very good, but now the kitties eat the food bc it is too much pureed. I have also tried exhausting mashing with the help of a fork, but it is more than my arm can handle when I try to mash the contents of 3 cans with 5.5 oz of food. Now I am tryimg a different method, and it works so so, but better than the previous methods: I first scoop out all the gravy and save it in a cup. Then I put the pieces of meat from one can at a time and pulse it slowly for at the most 5 seconds. Lastly I combine, by hand, the meat I have saved in a cup - with the gravy! It is not totally accepted by all the cats, but half of them at least decide that it is "edible". That said I am hoping for much smaller pieces of meat in the cans. Otherwise the lazy little rascals end up just licking off the gravy!

The first case I got of this food was great. My cat ate it without complaint. I thought we finally found a diet food he’ll accept. The second case has a slightly different label and the cat refuses to eat it. I’ll add a photo of the can I received. It says “with turkey” which the can in the product photo does not have. $50 worth of prescription food down the drain and I’m back at square one trying to find a diet food he’ll eat.

Prescription Food Success

After reading numerous unfavorable reviews for the various prescription cat food, I took a chance on this one and was so happy it turned out to be a hit! My vet had originally prescribed Hill Physicians MD, but Chewy was out of stock so I had to find an alternative. Besides the fact that the vet's price was higher for the Hill's food, it's full of crappy ingredients that I would never give to my cat. The OM Pro Plan Savory Select wet food contains generous amounts of turkey chunks, mixed in a a thick stew. It smells good and my cat had no problem adapting to the new food. At first she sniffed at it and wasn't sure about the new smell, so I added a little bit of her current kibble to it and she ate it all. Now she scarfs it down without hesitation. I have yet to see if it will help her lose weight and improve her hypercalcemia, but at least there is a good quality diet prescription food out there that she'll eat.

My cat Desmond is allergic to chicken and is dire need of diet cat food. I tried all the limited ingredient foods sans chicken. Turns out they are mostly seafood pates with some turkey. The cats do not like seafood that much and they are not fans of pate. So I went back to the Purina OM wet cat food they ate before Desmond got diagnosed. The turkey flavor has no chicken so they are happy now that they have a good they like with loads of gravy.

Recently, one of my cats was diagnosed with a rare disorder, familial hypertriglyceridemia, and was changed to Purina OM to help manage the condition. For the sake of convenience, I changed all four of my inside cats over to it. They all love it! They get canned food twice a day, and this is the only one I use now. Bella's blood work was checked again this week, and her numbers were very much improved. So, I was told to keep doing what I'm doing with the change to the OM. She doesn't have to go back for a re-check for 6 months!

Just finished our first case of Purina OM pate' and opened the OM Savory Selects yesterday. Not only did my overweight Aggie love it (probably too much --she's supposed to be LOSING weight!), but I also tested it on my other two leaner cats and they also give it four paws up. My only other comment is that I was surprised there was so much gravy, which I consider a good thing because she's not very big on water, so at least she's getting a lot more liquid than she would with pate'.

Foster Fat Cat Loves It.

This food is highly palatable for my foster "fatty" who needs to be secluded in a room and doesn't get much exercise. I would recommend.
