My pup likes this. I've ordered from Chewy off and on for years, this is the first time we have received something like this. The cans were busted, clearly seen through the packaging and the smell was horrendous. I contacted customer service and the rep was great, added instructions to have extra packaging as it didn't even have the normal case protection, came only with paper in the box :/ My frustration is that my pup is on a prescription diet due to food aversion and was refusing to eat any food but this product and in small amounts . So I guess my main complaint is with whomever is packaging these shipments, you never know how sick someone's fur baby is, please pay attention.

I started to feed this to my Doberman puppy Scout when she was around three months old, a month after I got her. I was mixing it with the breeder’s food and then eventually Kirkland puppy food. Neither of these dry foods caused her any problems, but she started to have diarrhea and other stomach issues when I mixed this in. I initially thought it was the food and stopped, but it later turned out she had gotten giardia from dirty water in my yard. Seeing as her stomach issues were probably caused by the infection I continued to give her the rest. However, she continued to have soft and otherwise unhealthy stools even after not showing any signs of remaining parasites. Based on her good reaction to the normal Purina Pro Plan puppy food I think it was the high protein content that was causing her issues, but don’t know for sure. It’s unfortunate because she absolutely loves this and it’s fairly priced for the quality.

Purina pro plan is highly recommended for dobermans. We have been using this wet puppy food along with the purina pro plan dry puppy food. We do not follow the label feeding guide on either of these products. I calculated my dogs calories using multiple websites and that is how we feed her. She eats about 4 cups of food total a day. Our doberman is 10 months and has been on the purina food since we got her at 3 months. She is super high energy and athletic. This food is great for her build and athletic figure. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive. I want to try other food because the price tag is just ridiculous but I know it’s the best for our dog. We will continue using this until the doberman experts recommend something else.

Since my puppy can not tell me what she likes or dislikes about this canned food there is only a bit room for guessing. She eats it! But because the breeder fed it after weaning her off I have no idea if she would like a different canned puppy food the same as she likes this one. It's a growing puppy, she probably is happy with everything that smells decent and fills her tummy. She eats it, so, 5 stars.

Great canned puppy food

My puppy tried the chicken and beef canned food, and loved them. They seemed to digest well in her puppy stomach. I slowly mixed these in with her dry food.

My GSD pup needed to gain some weight (as just dry food wasn't cutting it for his quick growth) and I couldn't find a wet food I liked to meet his high energy and shepherd nutrional needs. This product came out at exactly the right time and he has never been more himself and filling out nicely since I started adding this into his Royal Canin. What was originally a temporary purchase has quickly became a daily part of his diet. You definitely get what you pay for and I just bought his third case!

While the food is great, the case I ordered arrived with a number of dented cans, as the packaging was less than adequate. This was only a problem in that two of the can tops had been smashed to the point of splitting open, and I had to throw them away. This is the first time I have had to write a poor review for Chewy, and we have been using them for well over a decade. I am not likely to buy canned food from Chewy again.
