Our sweet Frank has been so miserable suffering from skin allergies the last few months. He has been itching so bad he has scratched bare spots. I have changed his food three times, cooked for him, gave him special baths and took him to the vet for drugs. Nothing helped! I have done so much reading and finally decided to try Purina Pro Plan Turkey and Oatmeal and threw in a container of Zesty Paws Allergy & Immune Bites for good luck. At the end of week one he was doing so much better. We’re on week two and he has almost totally quit scratching. Keeping my fingers crossed we finally have a cure!

I have 4 dogs. Foxy is elderly and has been having accidents. She recently started pooping in the house and when she goes, she leaves a trail of very loose poop EVERYWHERE. Foxy had skin issues already when I got her over a year ago, so, after antibiotics, I had her bathed every other week for months on end. Along with this, it took some time to find food she would eat. My other dogs were ok with anything. Considering the new pooping issue, I finally looked around and found this. Sensitive “skin” is a bonus. While I’m not sure if the food has helped in that regard, I do know Foxy now has solid poop. She’s been making it outside with it most of the time and when she does not, it’s now as simple as picking it up with a paper towel to clean up. I have switched all 4 dogs to this diet for Foxy’s sake. While I’m not sure if my other dogs will be lacking anything from this new diet, I know it’s been great for Foxy and plan to ask my vet their opinion.

Bag came with small holes in it, which I was willing to forgive since even human food manufacturers will often puncture their packaging intentionally for safety reasons. Then I gave it a sniff and was immediately hit with the stench of stale fish, which was odd considering the flavor is turkey. The third strike came in the form of a tiny, blackened, and totally NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE piece of kibble sitting there like, "You're still gonna feed me to your dog?!" It's kind of appalling that dog food QA is still quite terrible in this day and age -- and Purina is actually one of the few brands that meet both AAFCO & WSAVA guidelines!

I’ve loyally fed this formula for a long time and been very happy with the results. Although the oatmeal diets do have more “crumb dust” than a standard kibble, I’ve come to accept it and find the turkey better (less messy) than the lamb. However, my latest bag is an odd mash up of normal triangle shaped kibble and tiny, random shapes. This wouldn’t be a concern except I train with kibble and need something consistent that my dogs can easily take and not choke on. This isn’t a Chewy problem, it’s a Purina issue. Hopefully it’s a fluke or a machine error and I just got an odd bag?

This combination of ingredients have made such a difference in my beagle girl. She always had stomach problems and never was excited for her meals. Since she has been on this food, she is right there at feeding time ready to eat. I am so happy I gave it a try. Results were not immediate, but after a few weeks I saw a difference in her.

My dog has a sensitive stomach. We rotate PP sesitive skin and stomach flavors when I have to buy more. All those negative reviews had me freaked out but I think a lot of them are fake by people trolling to promote other brands. Still works as well as when I started him on it 3 years ago and no changes in his number 2s and no vomit, this is the 3rd bag I’ve bought since that came out and my vet also still recommends.

My Collie has had a sensitive tummy forever. I have tried, no exaggeration, every food brand, the yogurt cultures, with no avail. Therefore I started cooking her chicken breast, no fat, rice, sweet potatoes, or carrots and topping a minimal amount of dry dog food that her tummy allowed. That worked fair but not well. She won’t touch fish; so when I say the turkey oatmeal formula we tried it! And praise the lord; she likes it and so does her tummy. Now at 11 years old we’ve found a dog food for her. And I top it off with the canned version; that I make a gravy out of. And believe it or not she’s even quit chewing on her feet! No more Apoquel. So yes I’m very pleased. Also have discontinued her arthritis medication. She’s that much better. Diet is the answer.

He likes the food. I can't give 5 stars bc dealing with FedEx is a straight up nightmare. You guys really need to switch to or at least offer UPS. I'm seriously considering buying elsewhere from now on. FedEx dumping boxes in the driveway is unacceptable, and no matter how many times i report it to you and them it still happens. My porch is literally 12 steps from where they leave it. This ticks me off everytime I think about it, so thanks for reminding me to review the food.

My dog has been on the purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach turkey and oatmeal for a few years now and it was great but this last bag she started swelling and breaking out in hives every time I feed it to her. Tested it a few times to make sure it was the food. I am not sure if they changed the formula or what but I will now have to switch my pups food.
