My cat has over groomed himself for yrs. I knew bringing him to the Vet to diagnose the problem would cost a mere fortune. I can't do an elimination diet bcz I own 4 cats. It'd be impossible! So I started using Purina One Sensitive Skin & Stomach Dry Cat Food & noticed less vomiting as well as hair filling in where he'd make bald spots before. I highly recommend Purina One Dry Cat Food as I've owned cats for 65 yrs. I've always have used Purina Dry Cat Food to prevent plaque buildup on their teeth as this can wreck havoc on a cat's health & my sister, who's a Vet, said that the Purina One was a good product. I can verify it to be healthy as I've had 3 cats live to the ripe age of over 20 yrs old. I've seen many recalls for raw cat foods too. I'll stick w/ Purina's top line of dry cat food for as long as I'm alive as I know it's a great food product & company for my cats

So far, so good. This kitty has had issues since she was small. She has anxiety issues and meds make her to drugged out. I've tried many different foods, and she continues to have issues. Freeze dried food has helped, but is extremely expensive, so at this time she has free choice of both - freeze dried chicken and Purina's Pro Plan for sensitive skin and stomach. She has always had a beautiful coat, it's just her stomach and just vomiting. I free choice so she doesn't eat like it's her last meal, then vomit lol. As I said, so far so good. I'll update if any thing changes, and I'm not planning on purchasing more of the freeze dried chicken after it's gone.

My now 7 m/o kitten was diagnosed with non specific diarrhea at our vet (also my work place). I submitted two different fecal samples for testing with negative results both times. Our best guess was her diet. Previously she was on a couple kitten diets, which typically consist of chicken as a primary protein, & I did food trials with 2-3 brands before deciding based on recommendations from the doctors I work with to begin an adult sensitive stomach formula after a week of antidiarrheal meds. She LOVES the food, she is typically not a picky eater & has a ravenous appetite, but apparently prefers this kibble! I recently tried to switch to another sensitive diet, but she’s decided that turkey is her favorite! Very pleased it agrees with her stomach & she enjoys eating it everyday.

Middle Of The Road

I've never known Purina to be considered Premium nutrition, though I've been out of the cat care taking for over 10 years until recently and consider things change, give this a try. I've recently been on a quest to at last discover a food that isn't a source of issue for my 3 special need cats, 2 of which are feral/rescues that have very delicate digestive systems since they haven't had quality food source for their entire lifetime, and the other cat is FelV Pos. Both Feral developed severe diarrhea after feeding them Nutrish Natural Chicken & Brown Rice. Also one of them now has awful itching/skin irritations. The vet has dewormed, flea treated, antibiotics have been rendered... the issues are likely food related, so it's frustrating to see them suffer over something they have to rely upon me to receive = food! I've tried to find foods, both wet and dry, that are limited ingredient no wheat, no corn, possibly oat for fiber... rabbit based, without CHICKEN in case the cats are reacting to CHICKEN (seems to be in every formula). I'm limited on funds (retired/SS) so can't afford those $50 rabbit ingredient foods from other countries. sigh. If only we could try foods a couple of cans vs. cases... As it goes, the FelV Pos cat doesn't eat it / can't have dry food due to megacolon. I fed the food to another FelV Pos cat that has since died of the disease. Desperate to cease the diarrhea I've tried 3 additional brands: Natural Balance L.I.D... Purina Pro Plan FOCUS Sensitive Skin & Stomach Blue Buffalo Sensitive Stomach Chicken Recipe (I don't know if naming other brands is a taboo in reviews, but I'm going to error on the side of helping the cats and call those brands out by name) The cats would not eat Natural Balance L.I.D., they don't touch this one either. Neither compare to Blue Buffalo... I took Blue Buffalo away and left the above two brands for a day/overnight. The bowls were untouched. Their health is delicate and it's not worth it to play games of withholding food any further than that short test to know I won't be buying this again. Possibly the formula, possibly the kibble size (small in comparison to these two brands) but Blue Buffalo is what I'd recommend if you're in similar dire straights with your cats as I have been. My 8yr old cat has been vomiting every day sometimes several times a day since last winter. Blood work and x-rays normal. Tried steroids, antibiotics, probiotics, 2 types of expensive vet prescribed cat digestion focused food. No luck. Finally I called Chewy and talked to a wonderful lady. She said her cat did the same thing and she gave him this. I bought a bag, gave it to my cat and he loves it. Throwing up 80% less. 2 times a week now. He seems to have more energy. I am happy that he can eat a food that costs less than 1/2 of the $$ food.

Frankie and Joey have been eating this for a long time and still like it very much. Lea has prescribed food due to food allergies.

I have a feral cat colony living in my garage and yard. As you can imagine, medicating a sick one can be very tricky. 2 of them got diarrhea so bad, it would just fall out of them while they slept or walked. One became lethargic and lost all her muscle mass. The vet did bloodwork and tests, we did a run of antibiotics on one, nothing worked. I considered putting them down at that point. Then I found out about probiotics and purchased some for cats, but administration was difficult. Here comes Purina to the rescue!! Within 2 days their stool is under control! They both look and feel so much better a week after starting this food. And because it's so expensive and I have to feed 9, I mix it 50/50 with Purina Natural cat food and it STILL works!!
