I had to switch from my 5 year standard use of science diet perfect weight because my cats suddenly started throwing it up. I found out through research that there was a formula change and other cats were also throwing it up. So after much research I learned that Purina Pro Plan is a good quality vet recommended food. And for the first time ever all the bowls are completely empty every morning which never happened even when they were first on SD. A bonus is that it is cheaper too, which is very helpful the way all things have climbed in cost since 2024.

My 13 year old cat had loose stools and was lethargic, but no dangerous symptoms in her poop. I chatted with the Chewy vet, and she recommended a probiotic, and this appeared as a suggestion. I mix it in her wet food. She loves the taste of it, and she now eats all her food! Each day her poop becomes firmer, and she has not been this lively in years. Lily thanks you, Chewy!

This is the cat food we used to get ALL the time before the mean ole vet (as Miss Watson calls her) put Miss Watson on prescription food. My prescription has run out now and I'm "in between" vets at the moment. Also, I'm "in between" paychecks (that other food is VERY expensive), so we went back to this. The kitties are thrilled. For them, it was like going from a vegetarian diet to real steak again. It's probably not as good for them, but it's better for my pocket book, and I can't get the other stuff until I can get a vet to prescribe it again.

It is far too expensive to go to waste. Luckily chewy let me return this last bag that I tried and get a refund.

Lila Likes It!

I split this kibble with Purina Pro Plan Complete Essential 5oz pate cans. She gets 1/4 can in the morning and again at dinner. I then give her 1/4 cup kibble

I split this kibble with Purina Pro Plan Complete Essential 5oz pate cans. She gets 1/4 can in the morning and again at dinner. I then give her 1/4 cup kibble at night before bed. All based on her weight recommendations on the packaging. She seems to enjoy this combo as she eats it all and has no digestive issues. The 7lb bag of kibble lasts me close to 6 months feeding one cat in this way. I store it in its original bag inside an airtight sealed Gamma pet food storage container for bug prevention and freshness.

This is great cat food. My cats have bright eyes and sleek coats. Having been around animals my whole life (horse, dogs, cats, and wildlife rescue rehab projects), I know when my animals are feeling their best, and my two kitties certainly are. When I took them in for their annuals, the vet asked me what I was feeding them. I asked them if she thought there might be something better. She said honestly that even though she sells different food in her practice, whatever I'm using is obviously working tremendously well. She said she wouldn't change a thing. Both of my cats are able to appropriately maintain their weight on this formula and have been healthy and energetic.

My Picky Cats Like It

The cats eat this mainly. It's always there for their grazing. Since they are both indoors and outdoors it seems to keep them energized. They only like the Chicken
