There's something similar to this formula for younger dogs? My year old dog, who is on the pro plan formula with the shredded bits, likes his senior friend's Bright Minds food better than he likes his own.

It’s probably fine to feed this food to your year old dog as it has ample protein and fat. Purina makes so many great formulas! But please check with your vet to be sure this would be Ok.

There's approximately 20 cups of kibble in the 5 pound bag, 64 cups of kibble in the 16 pound bag, and 120 cups of kibble in the 30 pound bag.

I thought garlic was bad for dogs and this has garlic oil in it.

Eh it’s ok

We decided to switch from regular pro plan chicken and rice to this as our beagle is turning 12 this year. She will reluctantly eat this but looks very disappointed

We decided to switch from regular pro plan chicken and rice to this as our beagle is turning 12 this year. She will reluctantly eat this but looks very disappointed when she sees this in her bowl. She will try everything to not have to eat this including begging for treats the whole day. We will be switching back to regular pro plan as our beagle who will eat just about everything including broccoli and rabbit poop doesn’t want to touch this with a 10 ft pole. It was worth a try.

Our 9-year-old terrier was having cognitive and anxiety issues on a daily basis. It was like our sweet dog turned into a raging teenager 3 times a day. We did blood tests and vet consultations and tried other behavioral remedies to no avail. We did not want to put her on Prozac! After 2 months on this food she is notably calmer and this food is the only consistent change we made. We are happily stunned. Unfortunately, I had to stop giving my dog this food because he has mild GOLPP, and it was giving him acid reflux and gas. In the three weeks he was on it, I didn’t notice any positive changes. He doesn’t have dementia, but I was just hoping to keep him a bit younger. Back to American Journey for my 15 year old Belgian Malinois.

I was seriously doubtful that switching to a food specifically for older dogs would make much if any difference in my dog. But I have to say I am blown away by the difference in his activity and alertness level. He is much more engaged with the humans in his life, he sleeps less during the day, and is more playful. It may not work for every dog, but definitely made a difference in my 14 year old golden

The chewy package was sized just right and arrived in great condition making it much easier to handle prior to opening. Price was equal and package was fresh as expected.
