Cats love it, but can be damaged with Chewy's poor packaging
This is the only dried food my cats will eat. They think it's actually treats. However, I've learned not to order it along with anything heavy from Chewy's. I
This is the only dried food my cats will eat. They think it's actually treats. However, I've learned not to order it along with anything heavy from Chewy's. I ordered it with litter once and the food was pulverized by the time it arrived. This morning, I received a couple of bags along with a case of 3-oz wet food. The wet food box tore a hole in a bag and there was dry cat food rattling around in the shipping box. I ordered the food several weeks before it will be needed, so I had to transfer it to another airtight container. Chewy's packaging has gotten much worse in the past few years.

My owner got me some new cat food. It's Purina Pro Plan Weight Management Chicken and Rice. Ok, I've been over-eating and putting on some weight during the holidays. But this new food is soooooo good. I love to eat it, even though I'm a picky cat. It seems to fill me up without making me fatter. I rub against the container to let my owner know this is the food I really, really want. She got me some other food and I don't like it since I've tasted this food. She's a good person and wants me to have good health for the rest of my life. So I'm letting her know she needs to keep giving me this food every day. I, as a cat, definitely recommend Purina Pro Plan Adult Weight Management lovely Chicken and yummy Rice Formula! Thank you BzzAgent for letting my owner try this out for me, it's my new favorite.

My cat is in love with this food. Even the canned! Keep in mind that if you want your pet to lose weight, you need to feed them according to what weight you want
My cat is in love with this food. Even the canned! Keep in mind that if you want your pet to lose weight, you need to feed them according to what weight you want them to be at, not what they are now. These companies want you to feed them more food so you run out faster then you have to keep buying more food. You also need to make sure you stay within how many calories they are supposed to have in a day. I give my cat 1 small 3oz can in the morning and I give 1/2 cup of the dry at night (the carbs in the kibble keep him full longer and keep him from waking me up in the middle of the night). The change to this food was recent so I haven't seen too much change physically, but his energy is definitely coming back! I'll update this review when/if I see some change. Good luck!

I would free feed my cat after finding her as a skinny stray and she gained quite a bit of weight from it. After putting her on this food with a schedule she’s back to a healthy weight! It’s almost worked too good even with increasing her daily food amount. I’ve switched food brands with higher quality ingredients now to maintain her weight but definitely a great product for the price! First picture is in February 2023 and last two pictures are now! The food is only half of the key to her weight loss, a strict measured diet is the other half but of course she still received treats in moderation through the process. :)

Usually it’s too small but these are a nice size and both of my cats had no issues with it. A bit pricey but it will be worth it if my chubby girl can loose some weight. Was glad it was offered in 3 size bags allowing a small ounce purchase first to make sure they liked it before investing in the larger size bags.
Chewy order problem

I don't know if I'll continue buying from Chewy because they pack to many heavy products into one box. A 42 lb bag of cat litter packed with a 16 lb bag of cat food plus smaller items. Can't even drag the box into the house and this order was dumped on my driveway curb and street. Had to open the box 60 ft away from my front door, and drag it uphill. Ridiculous the way products are packed and shipped. Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't old and use a walker. Not happy.

My cat, being 15 lbs needed to lose some weight according to his vet. He had been gaining a pound a year since I adopted him at age 1. This dry food was suggested to me. He eats sheba wet 2x a day and a half cup of dry food. I switched his dry food to this and he loves it. He actually prefers it over the wet food (but since he has no teeth, and he needs moisture in his diet, he will still eat the wet and since I leave it there, sometimes adding a little water to it if it dries out, he will eventually eat it, but he loves this dry food. See the photo of him eating the dry food when the wet food is right next to it.

My cat was about 5 pounds overweight and as we all know it can be difficult to get cats to lose weight. I feed Purina Pro Plan formulas to all my animals so I opted to try the weight loss formula for my girl. Per instructions from my vet, I cut her daily intake to ~1/3 cup per day (just over 1/8 cup am/pm). I also made an effort to play with her twice a day for a few minutes chasing her "feather on a stick". Gradually over time I noticed she had more energy and wanted to play longer and more often. Then I noticed her waist thinned out. She is now at ~12.5 lbs, her ideal weight. I have increased her food to 1/4 cup 2x/day with a 1/8 cup evening "snack". She has not gained her weight back as I keep her exercise going. I am very happy with this food. She is 10 years old and has no issues!
