What size is the kibble? Mine need small bites.

Kibbles are larger than the so called small kibbles, my Yorkie has a hard time eating them, the chicken pieces are rather large. I wish they made a smaller kibbles for small dogs.

I have both large and small breed dogs. Is this suitable for both as far as nutrition and needs for both sizes?

What is the taurine content?

How many cups per 1lb kibble?

I contacted them because I wanted to take a smaller bag on vacation and they did tell me the 6 lb bag has 26 cups per bag so you be able to figure that out from there

My Sadie is a big girl. Happiest dog I've ever encountered who likes her food and new toys. I've tried numerous weight management kibble and they've maintained her weight yet not reduced it. To feed her less kibble seems cruel. Now I don't have to do so. She's lost pounds and looks healthier without changing anything other than the kibble. We are a happy household.

Great Product & Service!

I needed to find a kibble that manages weight for 2 Frenchies. My senior, Benny is 10 and overweight, my puppy just turned 1 and doesn't have any weight issues yet. I went with the Purina Pro Plan for both of them. I home cook for the kids but needed a good kibble to get some added nutrients. Chewy is really on the ball, I got the order really quickly and they put it by my front door this time instead of the garage (like last time). GO CHEWY!! And thank you SO much!

Our Gus has severe hip dysplasia that even surgery couldn't fix completely so he has a TPO on one side and just next to no socket on the other. Because of this he is very sedentary and puts on weight fast. We found this food and he not only loves it, but lost so much weight over the year our vet was worried he was sick at first! Then she just showered him with praise on how good he looks. With less weight he's been much more ambulatory and still loves this food! Thanks for helping our boy be healthier!!

After my Service Dog had her 3rd (& last) litter, she was spayed at age 7 yrs. She quickly gained 7# in addition to the 5# puppy weight she still had not dropped

After my Service Dog had her 3rd (& last) litter, she was spayed at age 7 yrs. She quickly gained 7# in addition to the 5# puppy weight she still had not dropped once her pups were gone to their new homes. I tried at least 15 different reduced calorie/diet foods to help her drop the weight. Purina Pro Plan Savor Adult Shredded Blend Weight Management Formula was, by far, the best all around choice for my dog's weightloss needs. She still loves it after almost 4 years, and has been able to maintain her optimum weight (60#) for over 3 years now. It's reasonably priced and is a good quality food with recognizable ingredients. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to help their dog drop excess weight and keep it off. The freeze dried chicken makes it a great choice for even the pickiest eaters.

Dogs Love, Managing Weight and is Helping Their Digestion

We recently needed to switch two of our Mini Scnauzers to a weight management diet as they enter early senior years. We feed all of our four pups a dry kibble with a spoon full of wet. Our vet recommended the Pro Plan shredded dry and the Focus Adult Weight Management canned. Besides being much less expensive than the special “boutique” food we were feeding them (especially on Chewy.com vs the chain pet stores), they all seem to have much less gas. I went slow in the transition with 25% new the first four days, then 50% new blend the next four days, then 75%, then 100%. They love this food, they scarf it down. One of the two has had digestion issues since he was a puppy that required a surgery and his original owners surrendered him. Ever since that surgery years ago he has had very loudly tummy rumblings after eating and a lot of gas...way more than our other pups. This food combination has eliminated that almost completely. My only complaint is that it is very delicate and quite a bit turns to dust at the bottom of the large Tupperware storage container we transfer it to just from settling.

Quality food that does what it promises to!

I switched my almost 7 year old small mixed breed dog to this after she gained some unhealthy weight. She developed arthritis last year, causing her to exercise less and gain weight. I tried lowering the amount she was fed of the regular savor line, but she'd continue to be hungry and I felt awful. She also didn't lose any weight with that attempt of just reducing her food. This food fed with some mixed veggies helped her slim down without doing any exercise that would strain her body more. I think the lower fat content of this food vs the savior line helps more so than just a calorie decrease. She loves the taste and sees no difference between this weight loss line and the regular Savor line. Highly recommend!

With all the scare of grain-free and what brands you can really trust in this day and age, I’ve stuck to purina like glue. It’s a brand made my veterinary nutritionists and for the most part it’s done wonders for my dogs AND cats. Well, my little chunky one has been on Hills metabolic, but it just wasn’t doing what I wanted it to as far as weight loss. She’s been on this Purina formula with a tsp of bright minds wet (for her medicine) and she has lost 5 pounds! She’s the healthiest and happiest she’s ever been! She is more active and wants to go on walks and isn’t just sleeping all day. I’m so happy with it, especially since she loves it (although she’s not a picky eater whatsoever). Highly recommended. Safe, trusted, and it works!

First, a disclaimer, my dogs love everything - except cats - which my cats don't seem to mind. For a year, while I was commuting between a temporary job site and home, my husband was doing most of the pet care. This meant they got treats everytime they barked, lol. While they still act (and to some degree, look) like young dogs, they are almost 12 (lab mix) and 13 (Dalmatian). When I discovered Chewy, I found this food. They love it! Not only have they lost weight, but we are walking three to five miles a day now that we have moved to a rural community. The improvement in their energy is amazing! Thank you ProPlan and also Chewy, because I am almost as old as my dogs (in people years) and I love the walking, but not carrying big bags up icy stairs so much.
