When we realized we had let our dog get quite a bit overweight on her prior boutique brand kibble, we began searching for a food that meets WAAVA guidelines and also doesn’t break the bank! Purine Pro Plan has 2 great Weight Management formulas - I prefer this as my dogs teeth got a little gross on the Savor version - that have the perfect proportion of ingredients to help your pup get in tip top shape! Here is a 20 lb difference of our dog Autumn - she lost 1/3 of her body weight and is so much more energetic!!

I bought this for my two oldest dogs, an 8 yr old Shorkie and and a 4 yr old Yorkie. They both need to shed just a little to maintain their proper weight and stay healthy. They both absolutely love this food. Every morsel is gone before they walk away from the bowl. It is doing its job to help them thin out and I think it will be great to maintain that weight once there exactly where they need to be. Even the lab thinks the crumbs from the bag are worth eating!

Their coats are glossy, and they really enjoy their dinners, and I recommend it to others. Would like Customer Service to send better value coupons, though, as this brand rarely goes on sale. Healthier, Happier New Year

I recently rescued/adopted 2 Australian Shepherds, 3 & 1/2 yr old male & a 1 & 1/2 yr old female. They both needed to be chipped & fixed. The spay doctor said

I recently rescued/adopted 2 Australian Shepherds, 3 & 1/2 yr old male & a 1 & 1/2 yr old female. They both needed to be chipped & fixed. The spay doctor said the female was obese at 60lbs but very athletic. They had been eating the regular Pro Plan but it was recommended to switch to the weight management formula to help the female drop a little weight. We are 1 week into the bag & they love the food. Hoping to get her back to healthy weight with this new food & exercise.

My two year old Shih Tzu loves it. With the long cold winters here we haven't exercised as much as we should and my little boy needs to lose one or two pounds. Not a lot but when you're only 15 lbs. to begin with one or two lbs. is a lot. I can't attest to the losing weight aspect yet as we've only been feeding this for a week but boy does my boy love it! He eats better than ever and eats all his food at mealtime with much more excitement than anything we've fed him previously.
