At my vets for one of my cats for a swollen eye she did not like her coat and i was feeding Orijen 7 fish she said it has to much oils in it and she recommended Purina ....I have not fed Purina in maybe 7 years and had went on the search for higher grades cat food like Orijen / young again / Open Farm and nothing helped the dandruff and oily coats so i said why not and with the sensitive stomachs that a few have i choose this formula . So 3 weeks in and i am surprised the oily coats and dandruff ( I have 6 indoor cats )are half what they where and i added in the classic chicken pate and this combo is a winner so far for them all

This food has been great for my sensitive girl! I switched her to this food 4 years ago and it made such a difference in her whole body! She used to be a bit scrawny, had thin hair, and threw up all the time. I switched her to this and in no tine she had put on healthy weight. Hair became thicker, fluffier, and softer. Best of all, she NEVER throws up anymore! I adopted another cat a year ago and she eats this food as well with no issues. I love Purina!

I took in buddy after my grandfather passed away. He spent his last few weeks in the ICU and the few times he was awake the only thing he was worried about was his cat BUDDY, I promised Gramps I'd take him in and spoil him rotten. Never was an animal person, least of all a cat person. Now I can't imagine life without my little "Buddy Boy" but in beginning I didn't know what I was doing, what food he liked etc. he is so picky like most other cats. But I started using Purina sensitive skin and stomach food for indoor cats and within 2 weeks the difference it made for my Buddy was incredible. His fur coat looked clean instead of a mess of hairballs and dandruff, no more dandruff, his weight has been under control at a steady 13.5lb he used to be almost 17lb. No more scratching constantly, so much less throwing up around house which is the worst because it's just me and cat in very old 4 story home, not open concept, have to move from one room to room and sometimes I don't go down to the first floor for an entire month or so, when he throws up in one of the many bedrooms sometimes I don't have any idea and will be dried up on my carpets by the time I find out he made a mess (hairballs is better term for it. Its not really throw up). My cat is grooming himself more regularly now, he doesn't get sores and bumps on skin from scratching dry skin, he's maintained a healthy weight since eating Purina dry food and I can even leave him a constant supply of his dry food to eat whenever he is hungry without worry about him over eating and getting sick, or getting as big as he used to be. Purina dry sensitive skin and stomach is the only food that has given me actual visible evidence of its health benefits. When all the stores were out one month and needed to buy different brands. Within two weeks he was gaining all his weight back and fur was messy and almost kind of greasy. Only other time I've seen a pet's diet have such a huge impact on health is when I lived with parents and they switched the dogs from store bought food to homemade meals with fresh ingredients every day. The older dog Zoey's fur used to be going grey around mouth and eyes and ears and chin moved around slowly, and was aging into that elderly stage where they don't move around much but now she is like a pup again. The second dog they owned was younger still very healthy so the improvement wasn't as noticable but it did somehow clear up her entire face and head, which was once covered in scars from losing a big fight with another dog twice. And both dogs health continued getting better. Zoey has hip problems and still does but she can actually run around and play without limping for a week after

I have long fed my cats Purina products, admittedly on the lower cost side of the scale because I have 8 cats. We started experiencing health issues. Everyone got a cold. Some were losing weight, acting more lethargic. The vet recommended we put one of our cats on a high end diet which is a challenge given our cats free feed. So we tried Purina One as an upgrade that was still affordable. Two of my cats had, just the day prior, started to get colds AGAIN. The sneezing, coughing and cat snot was making its rounds again. I was so discouraged. The next day we got our new order of Purina One from Chewy and...I wish I was kidding when I say this but within 24 hours, no one was even remotely sniffling. Colds were gone and the cats went bonkers for the food. I say I wish I was kidding because I felt bad that I hadn't been more attentive to their nourishment. I know not everyone can afford to spend MORE on food for pets in this economy. I fed my cats regular Purina Cat Chow and had cats live well and healthy into 20 human years. However, if you happen to start experiencing certain health issues, I now realize, it could be they need a food upgrade. I am quite floored at the difference in my crew. Energy levels are up. Health is improved. The increase hurts the monthly expense spreadsheet for sure but like most pet lovers I'll eat chicken soup and crackers for the rest of my life to be sure my babies are happy and healthy. This is FAR more affordable than the super premium cat food recommended by the vet that is only available via prescription and is like $60-$80 per 5-7 lb bag. I wanted to try this before we went down that path. If you have to, you have to. I get that there are special circumstances that may require that action but I am SO PLEASED with the results of Purina One Skin and Stomach! I may update after our next vet visit...which is hopefully a long way off.

Easy Transition. Easy on Sensitive Tummies.

I had been feeding my 4 a premium wet-only diet for years, but job transitioning w/corresponding economic constraints necessitated a temporary switch to kibble

I had been feeding my 4 a premium wet-only diet for years, but job transitioning w/corresponding economic constraints necessitated a temporary switch to kibble. I spent days looking at reviews and recommendations for the highest quality turkey-based formulation I could find, and also afford. My boy needs to be on a turkey or novelty protein and is very selective. He vomits if he is fed anything that doesn't agree with his sensitive tummy. Missteps with feeding the wrong food to him typically lead to vet visits, as well as a slow and careful process of building his feeding routine back up again. After the aforementioned information gathering, I narrowed it down to choosing between this and the turkey IAMS formulation for sensitive digestion. Both had thousands of positive reviews. The Purina One + Sensitive Skin & Stomach formulation had the most positive reviews, higher moisture content than the IAMS, as well as a formulation that seemed better nutritionally. I prayerfully ordered this truly needing it to work well. Results: All 4 cats eagerly gobbled it up from the first plateful and continue gobbling each serving three weeks into the switch! To note, although I transitioned them as slowly as I could using the remaining cans of wet food I had on hand, instead of an ideal gradual transition over 10 days, the transition was abbreviated to 4 or 5 and with a greater ratio of the new food to the other than is ideal. Zero vomiting! Additionally, their bm's have remained consistent in frequency (typically one per cat per day). They are, as a rule, not smelly, and are well-formed. A couple of the four cats did begin having soft stools the second week -- counter-intuitively, the softer stools are indicative of insufficient moisture. To counter this, I have been scrambling a couple of eggs and cooking some moist white rice using an extra 1/4 cup of water and a tablespoon of organic unflavored cold-processed coconut oil and mixing approximately a teaspoon into each serving of kibble per cat. This has not led to constipation and alleviates the soft stool situation. I am very thankful that my prayers were answered concerning finding an economical option that has turkey as the first ingredient, is well-balanced nutritionally, and is well-tolerated and enjoyed by my sweet kitties. Hope anyone else that needs a similar solution has a great experience as well. ps: if you can afford a wet food that is turkey-based and easy on sensitive tummies, I highly recommend the Wellness turkey pate.

I have different feral cars where I live and one in particular who I call Felix looks like he is missing some patches of hair on his little body so I bought this particular brand of kibble to help alleviate tge problem for him and I thought it would be easier for him and the other feral cats to eat as well when they come behind my kitchen window to feed them on top of my other tenants roof on the first floor of the multi-unit house that I rent my suite in

I get both the Sensitive and the Salmon Purina One and am exceedingly happy with both. The oldest is going on 19 years and the youngest is 7 years. All 5 are active, happy, and sassy. Prior to switching the Purina One line I had my cat's on a totally different higher cost cat food. Vomiting was ALWAYS a problem with one or two of my buddies when I saw a little add about taking the Purina One challenge. They'll send you a $5 coupon stating that you'll see a nicer coat within 28 days. Well, no more waking up stepping in morning surprises. My yackers started putting weight back on. Their coats were bright and shiny and I have peace of mind. Got my son using the Purina One for his cats at the same time, the oldest is 21 years old and the other is 8 years old. No longer do I have to bring out the carpet shampooer every other month and I have happy contented kitties. Thank you Purina One and Chewy-company with the best customer service EVER!

Works great for my fussy cat with tummy issues

I have 3 cats. Two were strays I brought in and one, Scout, I adopted when he was 5 months. He is 3 years old now. Scout is a super fussy eater. If I only feed dry food, even this kind, he regurgitates food about once a day. I found the combo of using a raised, slightly tilted dish for his wet food, although he will only eat fancy feast gravy lovers pate, which I split a small 3 oz can between the 3 of them 3 times a day. Plus they free graze this dry food. Finally this combo led to no more regurgitated undigested food!! Their coats all look great as well.

Feed with caution!

Purina has already been notified, but I lost two cats and nearly a third cat to the Salmon Sensitive Stomach formula. For this reason, I will no longer purchase

Purina has already been notified, but I lost two cats and nearly a third cat to the Salmon Sensitive Stomach formula. For this reason, I will no longer purchase my cat food from Chewy. I simply don’t trust where it’s either coming from or what’s being done to it. My cats refused to eat the salmon. REFUSED. My cats do not typically do that, which for one cat led to a $5k vet bill. I’ve started buying smaller bags of the Purina One + Indoor Advantage Senior Plus and the cats actually prefer this one.

I preface all my reviews with this now, but I have 12 indoor cats. 7 boys, 5 girls. Everything from diva tortie to orange derps to flouncy calicos. Skinny cats, fat cats, lazy cats, and one cat who is legally dead and entered the Kitness Purrtection program when we took him in. We have grazers and the old snarf and barfers. We have fluffs and short-hairs. We also had a serious hork (hairball) issue! I tried hairball control food in a couple of really good brands and it was better than most, but THIS.... was best. There are still occasional horks. It happens. That's life when you bathe with your tongue. But it's soooo much better now. Picture of a lounging Mr Muffinson because why not. May his luxurious pelt attest to the quality of the kibble.
