Are all ingredients used to make this food from the USA? And if not, where are they from?

We are getting an older mixed breed puppy about 7 mths old unsure what she is exactly, they said husky /German Shepard mix I think catahoula possibly maybe Australian Shepherd maybe some German really unsure. I didn't know at about 7 months or so she is 47-50 lbs. Would this large breed be ok?

This formula is intended for large breed puppies. There are individual differences in growth and development for all breeds. Due to their unique growth rates, it is critical that young adult large breed dogs between 6 months and 2 years old get the balanced nutrition they need for growth without excess calories. Ideal levels of protein and fat help balance growth in puppies and help maintain an ideal weight in young adult and adult dogs. We always encourage pet parents to speak their veterinarian to ensure their furry friends are meeting their nutritional needs.

I rescued my German shepherd at about 5 months old. He was extremely skinny and I could tell he had to fight for what little food the larger dogs in his previous owner's home would allow him to eat. Within three months I noticed a change in his energy, development and his overall appearance. He has the most beautiful, soft coat on a GS I have ever felt! His stools are consistent and always solid form. While this may not be the best solution for all large breed puppies, it has sure done wonders on my little guy. My friend has even switched from Pedigree to Purina for his two dogs as well and they LOVE it.

Since my human likes my poops to be drier, this stuff delivers. I like to get a mouth-full of it and take it over to where my human is working at his computer and chew it up there. Then I go back for another mouth full. I like the way it tastes and I eat a heaping coffee cup full of it every day. When my human mixes it with some canned Purina One, it makes me happier than I have the capacity to contain. When he cracks an egg on top of it, I tend to lose all measures of decorum and eat so much of it that I need to go lay down for a while before I can chew on his house shoes. When he reaches into the bag to scoop it out, it makes me love him so much I can't stand it. This guy is a real keeper.

I had no idea how big my spaniel lab mix puppy would get, so I started him on the Purina One Healthy Puppy. He is a very picky little guy, and won’t eat just anything. He doesn’t even like wet food. When I fed him the healthy puppy formula He had loose mushy stool. The vet said he didn’t have any infection, but I didn’t know what to do. I ordered this food by accident, and it was the happiest accident ever! I didn’t transition my dog to this food, but immediately his poop was better. After about a week on this food, his stool was completely solid! My selective puppy loves this food. Give it a try!

I mainly wanted to review how great Chewys customer service is. I get this for my newfie puppy, was on our third month of auto ship. For whatever reason the bag that was delivered to me was absolutely infested with ants (pics attached) my other dogs adult food which was in a different bag was completely fine so I figured it had to have been that batch. I called customer service, got someone on the first ring and here we are 2 days later and I’ve got a fresh bag of food ant free at no additional cost to me. Only affirming why i use this company. Thanks chewy!!

I used it for the company's understanding what large bread Puppys need and what they get TOO MUCH OF from reg dry food. Ive lost too meny of my "kids" over the years due to hip issues. I had to change something. Through my research. Large breed Puppies are different. They grow different their bones are different, they will be carrying more weight. This has just the right amount of nutrients and vitamins our special dogs need in their youth. To give him a better chance ill try anything. If it works, i dont know . I will when he turns 10. He was 6 mo when a car drove by and pushed him out right at my feet. Hes an American Staffordshire, i guess he wouldnt be mean enough for "them". Hes sorta big, I've had larger. Hes a great dog, just great. I hope this works like it says, we'll see.

We switched from IAMSO which he was fed at the rescue. We tried BlueBuffalo and other premium brands. He likes this one so much better than any other ones. His coat is nice and shiny, stools less loose, and he's gaining weight consistently. I have to mix it up with wet food or cooked chicken and bone broth from time to time, since he is picky(or spoiled, you name it), but he does not refuse to eat it altogether like he did before with some brands . Can't beat the price either. You know you have to be doing something right when your vet says your big boy is perfect and keep doing what you're doing.

It's hard to find a affordable large breed puppy food and this one was cheaper per pound than the others so I purchased it. I wish I did not have to bargain shop

It's hard to find a affordable large breed puppy food and this one was cheaper per pound than the others so I purchased it. I wish I did not have to bargain shop for pet food but I have several pets and have to budget to keep my fur babies affordable to own. My 7 month puppy eats it and it keeps her active and fit. I wish the kibble was a bit larger so she would chew more and not woof it down. I don't understand why large breed puppy food has such small kibble; makes no sense. But this is better than others I've tried. Her coat is shiny and she's always willing to eat it. I typically feed large breed puppies large breed food for at least 15 to 18 months of age.

As the title says; the convenience of having their food delivered to the porch is immeasurable, but not at the expense of freshness. I'm currently considering whether I want to continue with the subscription or go back to buying locally which would be VERY inconvenient with my current schedule. This entire bag is like this; this sample is out of the top 1/3, which means this entire bag is old and not at all fresh. NOT what they're accustomed to and not what I pay for. I chose and have been feeding them this particular brand and texture because of the size of the pieces which forces them to CHEW and not hoover. They've been hoovering this stuff up because it's broken into very small pieces, and the coughing/choking fits I was trying to eliminate after finishing dinner are back. I'm checking yes on the following question as to whether or not I'd recommend it, because I WOULD, but with the caveat it must be fresh.

I highly recommend Purina One SmartBlend Large Breed Puppy food! My 3 month old golden retriever wasn't so interested in her food that she was on with her breeder (pro pac large breed puppy), she would wait until she was really hungry or we'd have to hand feed her and only in small amounts. I just gave her 1/2 cup of her new purina food and she had a happy tail the whole time eating it. We love her happy reaction and the big chunks of dried chicken are amazing! We will be keeping her on this and continue to use chewy. Wonderful fast service. Ordered on Sat morning and food was here by this morning (Mon). :) Give it a try! It was a choice between purina pro plan and this, still high quality yet more affordable, so glad we went with Purina One! YAY! :)
