I had originally ordered Purina One True Instinct cat food. The kibbles were too big and there were these weird “meaty morsels” that my kitty couldn’t figure out
I had originally ordered Purina One True Instinct cat food. The kibbles were too big and there were these weird “meaty morsels” that my kitty couldn’t figure out how to eat. I contacted Chewy.com costumer service and asked if I could exchange for this food instead. Wonderful costumer service! They refunded my bag of food and told me I could donate it to a shelter (which I did) and sent me this brand new bag of food the very next day! Princess Carolyn absolutely LOVES this food. The kibbles are perfect size and the different shapes keep her interested. I love that this food has such high protein (42%) and turkey as the first ingredient to help keep her lean and trim. I would definitely recommend this to any cat owner and will be purchasing again.
Only appropriate non-prescription diet food
All three of my cats got overweight - one of them so much that she couldn't groom herself any more. Putting cats on a diet can be dangerous and cause organ failure
All three of my cats got overweight - one of them so much that she couldn't groom herself any more. Putting cats on a diet can be dangerous and cause organ failure. I did a lot of research about a year ago and this was the ONLY non-prescription diet food I could find for cats that had appropriate levels of protein. My cats have been on this since then (with wet food most evenings) and they have lost 2 lbs each and their blood-work looks great. All three are picky eaters and the transition wasn't too painful either. We are very pleased with this food!

My cat, Neko, loved this food at first bite! I gradually worked it into his usual dry food, and now he is only eating Purina One Healthy Metabolism. I have not seen much of a weight loss yet, but I have to give it a little more time. I've also increased the amount of time that I play with him, and I've even moved his food bowl so he has to jump up a bit to get to it. Neko is, however, the laziest cat I have ever had, but he is also the most loving and cuddling cat ever! I will only feed him the best, and Purina really got it right. Neko and I also like the smaller kibbles that are in Purina One's Healthy Metabolism.

I have 4 rescue cats; one is a picky eater. Unfortunately, she is the oldest (15 yrs) with age-related kidney disease & hyperthyroidism. Finding a good that she’ll eat is always a challenge. My other 3 seem to enjoy this flavor, and they didn’t seem to feel the need to eat until they saw the bottoms of their bowls. Two of those 3 had less hacking & vomiting from hairballs, but my Tabby with dandruff didn’t see much of an improvement in his coat after a month on this brand. My obese Tabby seemed to have more energy & desire to play with his fellow felines. Overall, it’s not a bad choice. My cats have a variety of needs so finding one food to feed them all (!) is always a challenge.

After Purina discontinued the True Instincts High Protein, I tried to find something that best compared with the nutrition and ingredients and this was the one I settled on. One of my cats is fairly picky, but he likes this just as well. I feed at mealtimes and feed wet food as well and never have any problem with my cats throwing up or anything, so this seems to work fine. The ingredients aren't quite as satisfying to me as the True Instincts one they had, but at this point as long as the cats like it and they aren't having major health issues because of it, it works for me.

Due to the food being shipped in the same package as some litter with no protection between the two items, the bag of food arrived with a hole in it that I found when taking the food out of the box. Thankfully none of it went to waste because my cat jumped in and ate every piece that was spilled (which thankfully wasn’t much). This is the one food I’ve found so far that my cat not only tolerates, but actually seems to enjoy!

We tried a fat cat formula but saw no difference. Then we found this one. My cats LOVE it. My 7 yr old has so much energy now. He can actually keep up with our other cat. He's lost 1 lb in the 6-7 months we've been using it. I have and would recommend this food to anyone with an overweight or lazy cat!
