This is stupid, but I don't understand how to calculate the gems per day. My cat is 7-8 lbs and the carton says "2lbs, 1 gem". So is this "per 2 lbs"? If so, I have to feed my cat 3-4 gems a day? Again, I know I'm stupid and terrible with math.

Fancy Feast Mousse Pate with Salmon and Mousse Pate with Tuna, both are fragrant ( fishy). They look tasty, when inverted on a plate the gravy was plentiful I was surprised as it cascaded down the sides. We are care givers for 10 feral cats. They were apprehensive when a plate with Mousse Pate with Salmon was introduced. Several ignored it….. noses caught the scent! Those that ignored the plate were drawn to investigate. Both Pates’ were introduced, needless to all 10 come to enjoy this wonderful Pate. There doesn’t seem to be a preference between the Salmon or the Tuna flavor. One of the feral cats is a finicky eater, he will not touch human food. I have presented fresh cook (no spices) chicken. He walks right by. With this pate, he is one of the first to the plates. All come running at feeding time. Some leave after no Fancy Feast Mousse Pate with Salmon or Tuna is offered !!

Cute packaging and look - success with all the cat

My cats absolutely loved these!! From the second I opened the box, my cats came running even though they've never had these before. I wasn't careful when I opened the box, so my fingers went right through the tabs you push in to separate the two sides. This isn't a big deal but just something to be mindful of when you're going to open these after opening the main box because they slip out easily and can fall and scar your pets. The smell isn't horrible compared to some other brands, which is a plus. I found these to be a little misleading because I was expecting the pate to just come sliding out of the packaging on its own but I needed to use a knife to help scrap it out. The topping was a really cute addition to the overall look of these. Once on a plate, my cats devoured these so fast! I shared with my mother's cats who insisted they be cut into pieces in order to eat. But overall, these were a huge win with our cats.

Great tasting, perfect portions!

Wow! My cat Rufus has always loved Fancy Feast products, but as he he aged, he has grown less inclined to try anything new. So I wasn't sure how he would respond

Wow! My cat Rufus has always loved Fancy Feast products, but as he he aged, he has grown less inclined to try anything new. So I wasn't sure how he would respond when I cracked open the box and showed him his Fancy Feast Gems Salmon and Tuna Mousse. He completely surprised me by grabbing my husband's arm as he was plating it, and diving in immediately! He polished off the entire serving in just two minutes and looked around for more. It's great to find a product so appealing taste-wise, that also helps to keep an older kitty like Rufus stay hydrated. He particularly loves the gravy on top (we call them his little volcanoes) and is quick to lap up every last drop. And the serving sizes are perfect for a single meal or special treat!

For Christmas last year, I purchased Fancy Feast Gems Mousse Pate in Salmon and Tuna Variety Pack Wet Cat Food. This was my special treat to them. Both cats love it, though Sugar would clean the plate, and Bailey would even half of it, even leaving the mousse alone in the bowl. This was an instant hit for sure. I'll buy new flavors later this year. Your feline friend would love this decadent food in no time.

Our cats really love these! They especially love the enticing gravy on top. They are usually very picky eaters but devoured these right away (starting with all of the gravy). They do prefer the tuna over the salmon. The texture is soft and easy for them to eat and these don’t leave an overwhelming fishy odor in the air like some other foods. The package size is perfect for a single serving as well. Overall, our picky eaters love these and I will continue to buy these for our cats!

Yeti used to eat Fancy Feast Pate half a can, twice daily. I received a coupon for the Fancy Feast Mousse. She went nuts. Then began the battle of wills. She refused to eat her other Fancy Feast any longer, and I had just purchased a 30 pack of her favorite pates. She was eating dry food, that I have out for munching. Now Yeti is the smartest cat that I've ever owned. She understands things I'll tell her to do, that I've never said before. I told her that she wasn't winning this battle. The Fancy Feast Pates cost me 89 cents a day. The Mousse is 2 dollars and 59 cents a day. I learned my lesson about using coupons on cat food. We've had this discussion previously, concerning who is smarter. Now just because I'll do whatever she wants, like holding her dish up to her face to eat, because she doesn't want to get out of bed. That doesn't make her smarter, it's just that she's extremely manipulative, and I'm a sucker. Finally on the 3rd day, I caved and gave her the Mousse. after all in the 4 years that I've had her, she's NEVER done anything wrong. I hadn't realized that she had actually eaten the pate. The finale of the story is, In the end she did win. Now, I buy the Fancy Feast Mousse. Occasionally, if she's acting like she's starving between meals, I'll give her some pate, and she has no problem eating it. I may have won the battle, but she won the war!

My cats like the food. But the packaging is poorly designed. First, there's too much of it. The fancy cardboard box that holds two sealed plastic "trays" of the food is unnecessary and wasteful. This is not a gift from Tiffany. The plastic trays themselves are difficult to open, and the food sticks to the interior of the tray, requiring it to be scraped out. Crazy -- packaging should not be the thing that makes an otherwise good product undesirable.

Fancy Feast Gems Mousse Pate Salmon & Tuna Variety Pack Grain-Free Wet Cat Food is a delicious meal for your cats. I love that it is grain free My cats on special diets really enjoyed the salmon and tuna flavors. The only issue I had with this food was getting it out of the packaging. I had to squeeze and shake the packaging several times before the food came out. My cat ate every last drop of this food whenever it was offered. She definitely gave it two paws up.

but I can't open the stupid containers without getting gravy everywhere! Granted, the fool top needs to be firmly attached, but when I honestly have to CUT the foil off because its stuck so well. And since the container is small andI only have one usable hand, cutting to top off is also difficult and messy! I can open all kinds of other foil topped packages without making a mess. So maybe this packaging should be rethought and redesigned. And why is there a sweetness to it when there is no sugar or sweetener listed in the ingredients? 5 stars for how much my cat likes it. Only 1 star for lack of ease of use.
