Beggin' Pupkin Bites with Bacon Halloween Dog Treats, 6-oz pouch

My dogs liked Purina Beggin Pumpkin Bites so much that the bites are all gone and I ordered more on my Chewy Autoship. I liked the bright, orange, Halloween packaging and that the bites are made with real bacon and pumpkin. Also the Beggin Pumpkin Bites are made with real ingredients and no artificial flavors or FD & C colors. And....high in protein! Cheech loved them. Boots ate all of his in one swoop and Harlee couldn't get enough of them. Yep. I had to buy more.

I’ll start by being honest and admitting that I struggled to rate this item. On one hand they are really unhealthy (in my opinion), but on the other hand, all of my dogs love them. My husband and I try buy and feed our dogs the healthiest food and treats we can find, trying to avoid seed oils, various “meals”, etc. Unfortunately, these treats are completely unhealthy. In my opinion, the only good thing in them is pumpkin. Pork is the first ingredient and many people may find that to be healthy, but my family generally sees it as an unclean meat and tries to avoid it. Why did we get this item, you may wonder? Well, the treats are really cute and I thought, “What the heck? A small bag of unhealthy treats one time a year won’t kill my dogs.” Fortunately, none of my 8 dogs appear to have had any negative reactions from eating them. Plus, I break the treats up, so none of my dogs are getting a whole treat at any one time. With all that being said, I rated the treats 4 stars out of 5 because my dogs love them and they are really cute (ridiculous, I know 😬). They did lose a star for being unhealthy, but I couldn’t deduct more than that because I knew they were unhealthy when I chose them, so I can’t fault Purina for that.

These are a huge hit with my dogs! They absolutely loved this product. I introduced them to the product and they begged for the pumpkin treats. It says limited edition, we definitely need to stock up.

My dog wasn’t a fan, but she’s a bit picky so I don’t think it’s necessarily the product fault. I think it’s a cute treat to give during Halloween time. Our puppy we have enjoyed them so I call that a win. They are pumpkin shaped which is cute, it is pumpkin & bacon flavored I believe so not horrible. I think they would do best with younger puppies.
