My pup enjoys the taste of these, but since she is very small at 5.5 lbs, 3 calories every time she does something correct during a training session is actually quite a lot. These also aren't actually very soft, and quite difficult to split in two like they are intended. My finger actually got callused from splitting these because they are so hard, and it doesn't seem worth the trouble but I also don't want to waste them. I notice they are slightly easier to split if room temperature is warmer. But it's the middle of winter, and a lot of training sessions are outside and my house is always colder in winter. I would suggest not getting these if the ability to split them easily is important to you, and maybe use these for training treats for a larger puppy. On a positive note, my pup did like the taste and these helped her get used to wearing her cone after surgery.

This is a great treat especially with the amount you get for the price it's not really the best ingredients but all my dogs seem to enjoy it I even tend to train my oldest (3 years) with it but I would recomend brands like wellness soft puppy bites or the entire American journey training treats (soft and chewy) line which are sold here on chewy for around the same price with better ingredients and my dog actually tends to like them better but I use the puppy chow treats as a medium to low value and the others I listed as a mid-high value but if you want a really high value treat for your dog I recomend just going to the store or thru your freezer and find the cheapest meat (I suggest chicken) boil it plain and watch your dog go crazy over it and be successful during training but I hoped this review helped anybody looking for good treat recommendations to train their dog with have a great day<3

I picked these up on a whim after the other treats I got were too big for my tiny 2 pound pomapoo and I’m so glad I did. I have been using them as a reward and only give him one anytime he goes on the puppy pads and now every single time he does, he runs to the pantry and waits for his treat. Not only are these easy for him to eat (and apparently very yummy!) but he’s now almost completely housebroken. These treats are worth every penny!

I bought these treats because we got a new puppy. They have been great to train him. He loves them as does his two big sisters. The treats are small and have an indentation down the middle and I have been breaking them in half to train him. He’s small so it’s enough and will make the bag last longer.

I'm using these as rewards in the potty training adventure. The puppies love them and make sure I'm watching when they do their business. Only reason they get a 4 instead of a 5 is that they harden up after you take them out of the package, making it difficult to break them in half. For tiny guys I wish they broke easier.

I filI filled out a return on an expired package, and it was wonderful. Now my second auto-ship order has the same thing, expired treats. I hate to keep complaining. I ordered four packages of treats, two outdated and two good. I’m not sure if it’s because it was at the end of the year and the start of a new year, but I’ve never had this kind of problem with an expired package of treats. 'Chewy, replace them immediately.'

These treats get the job done at a price that is hard to beat. I like that you can get a big bag since I have 2 dogs. I also very much like that these are so low calorie and fortified, because one of my dogs is only 14lbs and it's very easy to create a food vs treat imbalance with small dogs if you're not careful. Both of my dogs are extremely food driven, so I can't say how high reward these treats are. I don't really care if the ingredients are "low quality". The ingredient quality thing in pet products is getting out of control. They're dogs, not babies. There isn't enough food in the world to only feed pets "human grade" ingredients. What do we do with everything else? Put it in a landfill?
