Worked Great & Cheaper Than Vet

Our Kinzei had been on Proin for years due to incontinence and it did all that it should have. She would only have issues with leaking when I'd forget to give her a dose. Being that they are chewable, I would have hoped she would have taken like a treat, but nope... being true to her Husky heritage, she made me work for it. We had her on auto shop and that was so convenient!! Unfortunately we had to put her down (14 years old, had a nice long and happily spoiled life) and just memorializing her profile on Chewy had them canceling future shipments so I didn't have to.

Our adopted dog, Tish, was brought to the shelter with tumors all over her vulva and teats. We think she was used as a breeder. After her surgeries she had trouble holding her urine. When she laid down it would just run out. The vet prescribed this medication and two days after that she stopped having leakage and has been dry ever since.

Stops the urgency

Pinto Bean, a rescue dog, was spayed at too young an age missing out on the benefits of estrogen and as a result suffered with incontinence. Her vet put her on Proin at 6 months old and it stopped the incontinence right away. She’s 5 now and takes 1/2 a pill daily, down from 1/2 a pill twice daily. Her vet said she may get to a point where she no longer needs Proin and that happened with Pinto Bean for a few weeks, but then her symptoms returned and she went back on it The 1/2 pill once a day keeps her from feeling uncomfortable so she’ll be staying on that dosage

I hate giving this medication to my girl. But unfortunately she has a leaking problem due to her spay surgery when she was little. I hate the side effects so I give her as little possible to maintain her quality of life. The medication works well! A lot of people swear by it and a lot of people swear about it. Chewy did an excellent job of getting the script filling it and getting it shipped out to us. I didn't calculate correctly and wound up being without medication for 4 days. My girl is a husky and you can tell she's absolutely embarrassed when she wakes up from a nap and she's wet. I just can't see her so sad and embarrassed that's why I continue giving her this medication.

I believe this medicine attributed to my dogs loss of appetite. He is a 70lb pit who loved to eat. So much so that i got him a slow feeder and had to pick up everyones bowls when they were done. Now it is a chore to make him eat. Then trying to give him this pill is a nightmare. The smell is atrocious. The company definitely needs to come out with a new flavor/smell. Ive done peanut butter, wrapped in cheese of stuffed in meat, pill pockets you name it i tried it. Until recently a new vet told me since he's still active and not over weight to try cream cheese and holy moly that is the winner. Before i hated the mess on my hands with the peanut butter but now this is so worth it. If you have trouble with giving this pill to your dog i swear by it - GIVE IT WITH CREAM CHEESE! Just enough to coat it. They swallow it whole and you dont have to shove it down their throats.

Our 15 year old beagle was peeing in her sleep and dribbling almost 3-4 times a day. It had become so stressful and frustrating to have to clean her blankets and bed constantly. We put diapers on her at night but they would always slip off or leak. My wife and I love her to death but at times we were reaching our breaking point. Vet put her on Proin and we saw immediate results! She has not had any accidents for over 2 weeks, and if she needs to go in the middle of the night she wakes us up like she used to. You don't understand how much stress you're under until it's gone. Now are little ole lady is living her best life in her golden years.

PLEASE make sure you are in tune with your dog if you decide to try this. Many people are so happy something "works" that they ignore the signs of how it takes the joy away from their dog. Or they just aren't in tune with their dog in the first place. This stuff "worked" but my dog most definitely did not feel well on it. I have learned to connect with my dog to the point where things that others around me don't notice I can see pretty easily. So I was able to see a big differance in how she was feeling. It worked pretty well on stopping the peeing, but I took her off it and she went right back to being herself. There was a big differance. I would rather deal with messes or pad train her than to make her feel nausea all the time and occasionally throw up (2x). She is so much happier off it. It's like life is worth living again for her. Your dog may be fine on it but I would encourage people to maybe look into something more natural first. Due to natural selection animals are so good at hiding how they feel that it's not hard to miss when they are feeling pretty crappy.
