Calming? Yes!

My cat Sunny is a menace of anxiety and hate. He urinates when he is nervous or has anxiety or hate. which is all day it seems. These treats work, I do t know how

My cat Sunny is a menace of anxiety and hate. He urinates when he is nervous or has anxiety or hate. which is all day it seems. These treats work, I do t know how they work but they do for Sunny. He seems more calm and sleeps after I give it to him . He can actually have his cat co-habitant walk by him without flipping out. The unrinating is about 75% better. Sunny is an inside outside free range cat with no restrictions on food. The bowl is full 100% of the time. He should legit have no worries.. but here we are .. buying calming treats . Pretty sure he is just permanently broken, but aren’t we all.

WELL worth a try if you have an anxious cat!

My purebred Bombay cat is high-strung and anxious, and she wanders through the house wailing about 6 times a day, every day. It's not a health issue; she gets regular check-ups and bloodwork, but she's overly dependent on routine and constant attention (it freaks her out if I even wash dishes at the wrong time of day). After a year of this I was freaking out too, and so gave these chews a try...and wthin hours she was calm and snoozing. I thought it had to be a fluke, but after several days of giving the chews, not giving them, and watching her behavior, I'm convinced the chews mellow her out. She seems happier, more affectionate, and they don't make her groggy -- just really relaxed, maybe even relieved. I'm experimenting to find the smallest daily dose that will keep her calm (the company says these are safe for daily use), and so far 3 to 4 chews in the morning and 3 in the evening seem to be enough. That's less than the recommended dose, because she weighs a bit over 9 pounds. So...I heartily recommend trying these if your kitty is anxious or vocalizing!! But again, be SURE to have a vet appointment and bloodwork first to eliminate a possible health cause, like dementia.

We took her back to have the stitches taken out and there was Harley. She was a month younger than Sugar at 5mths. So being wild they were holy terrors and into everything. Finally Pet Honesty and the VETALITY spray, they are now like little angels in disguise. But I LOVE them and CHEWY..

My boy hasn’t been a fan of any treats I buy, he’ll eat them but they’re just alright to him, but these ones he adores. In fact, he likes them so much that he even chose to help himself to some today! I came home from brunch, looked at my grandma and said “does something smell weird in here to you?” And then discovered the weird smell was actually the stench of these treats that wafted about the house, creating a wave of chicken-flavored play dough scent that hit me when I found that Mr. Oswald had ripped open the bag on the carpet and ATE 50 OF THEM. He’s fine of course, I called the number on the back and the lady was super helpful in seeing if there was any concern of toxicity due to overdose. It’s nice to know now that there’s a treat he’ll do anything for though. See photos for the aforementioned menace

I recently purchased Pet Honesty's Dual Texture Chicken Flavored Calming Chews for Cats for Bailey and my new cat Sugar last month. During the introduction, it worked on Sugar, since she was fearful from Bailey during first interaction and kept hiding in the bathroom. This worked like a charm. As for Bailey, she still shows aggression with hisses. But when I give her some, it calms her for a perfect remedy for a quiet moment even before supervised visits. You'll love it.

I gave this to my 18 lb cat during his first visit to my friend's house. He was meowing nonstop from stress, so I gave him 14 chews at a time :(( (it says 1 per lb). About 15 minutes later, he got calm, curled up under a chair, and slow blinked at me like he was finally chill. relaxed and quiet. I also gave some to my other cat, Dinner, but I gave him a lower dose since he’s not very vocal. He didn’t react much, so maybe he just didn’t need it as much.

Even my picky cat will eat these!

I can’t say if I they actually help calm- the number of treats needed per day and length of time was too much for me and them- but for anyone wanting to give it a go, both my cats ate these treats (one who loves virtually anything, and the other who is extremely picky). I previously tried another “calming” treat brand recommended by my vet, and gave that brand daily for 6 weeks- but both of my cats hated the taste of that other brand SO much that even crumbling them and mixing them in canned food and treats they loved made my picky cat refuse any and all food it was hidden in (even when I started only putting 1/4 to 1/2 of a chew in!), and my food-loving cat much less enthusiastic about whatever food or squeeze treat I mixed his in. Both also seemed thrown off by the texture, a rubbery, crumbly blob that was labeled “soft chew.” So, just the fact that both my cats like these Pet Honesty brand treats says a lot. They’re nice, small, crunchy treats and the taste is approved, so I use them as general treats now.

I am amazed at how great these calming treats are! I have an aggressive younger cat that bullies and terrorizes my senior cat. I have tried prozac, wall pheremones, calming collar, gabapentin. He goes back and forth between being very loving and extremely irritated. I have even considered rehoming but I know that no one else would understand him or put up with him. These treats literally transformed him into a chill relaxed cat and for that I am so grateful!
