I have given this to my cats for years. When one of my cats developed renal failure I began using this and I believe it slowed the progression. She was 19 when she passed. I give this to all the cats that have joined my family. Currently, one of my two cats was diagnosed with renal failure about two years ago and I continue this supplement along with others. He is celebrating his 18th year this month and managing well. My other cat shows no signs of kidney issues and is now fifteen years old. I recommend this supplement to all cat and kitten owners. It is never too early (or late) to start.

Made cat lethargic

My cat is 16 years old with early stage kidney disease. I wanted to see if this supplement would improve his numbers. I've been giving it to him for a few weeks

My cat is 16 years old with early stage kidney disease. I wanted to see if this supplement would improve his numbers. I've been giving it to him for a few weeks and he has not been himself since I started him on it. He has been much more withdrawn and lethargic, and drinking way more than he ever was before. When I researched the ingredients, it turns out that 3 out of the 4 (clevers, dandelion root and leaf) are diuretics. From what I understand, cats with renal disease need fluid, not the loss of it. This could explain his sudden increase in excessive amounts of water (he was not drinking like this before). I'm not sure about the lethargy, but I won't be giving this to him anymore.
