44 Customer Questions
Is this for cats as well? I’ve always purchased this but now it’s marketed for dogs only and I do not see a version for cats on Chewy but Pet Wellbeing does have it on their site.
Answer by Phil • Apr 01, 2026
You are correct—Kidney Support Gold is now marketed as a single formula for both cats and dogs. The active ingredients, including Rehmannia root, Cordyceps, and Astragalus, are identical for both species.
The only difference is the labeling on the bottle, but the bacon-flavored liquid inside is the same. Just make sure to follow the weight-based dosage on the packaging for your cats.
My cat has beginning kidney disease stages and is a picky eater. Could this also work as a food enhancer to attract him to eat?
Answer by • Oct 13, 2018
This supplement assists in the maintenance of appetite, hydration, healthy weight, and energy.
how does this taste? I'm not good at giving things orally to my guy. Will he detect it on his food which is already a challenge to keep him eating
Answer by • Mar 12, 2018
The formula has a plant based bacon flavoring for palatability, you can also add it to the food.
Can I give my cat kidney support gold and thyroid support gold at the same time? Or should I only use one at a time?

Products that focus on different health concerns, are generally safe to use, but similar to how some people can have different reactions to combinations of medication—pets can react differently to combinations of medications. Your pet might have special medical conditions that only a veterinarian would know. We recommend consulting your veterinarian before combining medications.
