Is there no Chondroitin in these ?

Answer by Cockers5Oct 08, 2022
The green lipped mussel that is added would include natural Chondroitin. So yes it does include it.

Does the "poultry liver" come from chickens or turkeys?

How many grams of fat are in one of these chews?

Where are the ingredients sourced? If from overseas, what is done to certify the quality and safety of the products?

Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2018
The ingredients used in this formula are both manufactured and sourced in the United States.

New packaging - a pouch - and configuration of the chews (smaller and very soft & stuck together) and dosage recommendations have brought me to the point of choosing a different brand of joint supplement next time around. The pouch packaging results in a glob of chews that are often broken up, hard to separate, and difficult to ascertain at times how much constitutes one chew.

I have been giving these to my dog for 6 years now and have seemed to help with his joints and mobility. Now that the product has changed packaging and dosage along with the size of the product the quality has declined. Not to mention the price is way more than it used to be. The last bag came in one big lump with the treats stuck together and the bottom of the bag full of liquid. I will most likely be looking for a replacement for the future.

Shrinkflation and Corporate Greed

I generally do not leave reviews but I am making an exception for this product. The "old version" of this product was $55.08 for 120 chews which lasted 2 months

I generally do not leave reviews but I am making an exception for this product. The "old version" of this product was $55.08 for 120 chews which lasted 2 months for my dog (2 chews per day). When I went to reorder, this "new version" is $64.98 for 120 chews but they essentially cut the chews in half and now the chews last 1 month (4 chews per day). Not only did this double the cost of the chews, but they also increased the price slightly for 120 chews. So now 2 months of chews are $114.98 and you have to purchase a 240 count package to equal the previous 120 count package. This will not be evident to new purchasers of the product but will be to existing users. I have added a photo of the "old version". Notice that the "old version" lists active ingredients per 7.6 gram soft chew while the "new version" lists active ingredients per two 3.6 gram soft chews. My vet has recommended a different brand which I will be ordering.

Terrible act by Chewy & the supplement company

Don’t be fooled like I was at first. I thought, wow $30 increase for the 240 chews was a lot, but with inflation etc I was willing to pay it as I’ve used these chews

Don’t be fooled like I was at first. I thought, wow $30 increase for the 240 chews was a lot, but with inflation etc I was willing to pay it as I’ve used these chews for years. Until I opened the package and realized they halved the size of the chews. My dogs each used to take 2 chews daily. Now they each need 4 chews daily. Previously it was $0.66 a day per dog. Now it’s $1.83. This made me mad enough to do math (and write this review). That’s a 177% price increase, which is way out of proportion to inflation. No more will we be buying these. I uploaded a screen shot with the old price, and also pictures comparing the old and new products. Words cannot express how upset I am with this situation.

For years we have order Synovi G4 Chews, which were packaged in a plastic tub and recently that product was no longer available. This substitute was suggested and it arrived with the chews all stuck together and / or crumbled in pieces. I will be cancelling all future orders and search for a comparable substitute. The one star is b/c they make select at least one. I give it ZERO Stars!

Deceiving and misleading!

The packaging has changed, but so has the volume and price! The new 120 count is not the same as the old 120 count. The chews are half the size of the originals

The packaging has changed, but so has the volume and price! The new 120 count is not the same as the old 120 count. The chews are half the size of the originals which translates to half the volume in the new package(864g to 432g). And no surprise with this decrease in volume there has been a price increase. For the old 120 count I paid $52.98 and in order to receive the same volume of chews I would now have to buy the 240 count which is $76.99. Deceiving, misleading, poor practice, and bad business. Come on man...do better!

I’ve been buying this product for about 1.5 years. This last delivery was a horrible mess!!! I opened the sealed package only to find the individual pieces had turned into one big wet mess! It was hard to figure out the appropriate serving size, I had to guess and that never a good thing. I also noticed this has happed to others who ordered this product, so this is not a one off. This product is not cheep so I really can’t afford to throw it out and re-order. The company needs to figure out why this happens and correct it!!!!

100% Increase in Price

We first purchased Synovi G4 by Elanco for our dog at the recommendation of our vet. We were satisfied with it until Synovi G4 was replaced by 'pet protect by advantage

We first purchased Synovi G4 by Elanco for our dog at the recommendation of our vet. We were satisfied with it until Synovi G4 was replaced by 'pet protect by advantage. We now have to give our 65 pound Doodle four chews a day rather than two, so the COST PER DOSE has increased 100%! In addition, the quality control on the product is terrible because it appears advantage is trying to cut the (once) fulled size chew into twice the quantity, which results in a fragmented, sticky mess in the resealable bag. That's another greed-driven change; no longer does Synovi G$ come in a reusable plastic bucket lined with a sturdy plastic bag. I'm going to transition Ginee off 'pet protect by advantage' to a similar joint/hip product, and I sincerely hope other cost conscience conscientious dog owners will do the same. -JQ

Clumping

Used this years ago when it was made by Bauer. Now another dog needs it and although the results are good the product itself isn’t right. I’m on my 2nd auto ship

Used this years ago when it was made by Bauer. Now another dog needs it and although the results are good the product itself isn’t right. I’m on my 2nd auto ship (which I’m cancelling) and the ‘individual’ tab are definitely not individual. It’s a big clumpy terrible mess. I ordered a 60 count from Pet Meds and they were fine. I don’t get it. 5 stars for product itself reduced by 2 because of the clumpiness.

Product quality has declined

Our dog has been on this for a number of years ever since our vet recommended it. Sadly over the past 6 -8 months it’s changed. It used to be shipped in a box. The morsels were a good size and didn’t fall apart and my dog only required 1 twice a day. Now the morsels have shrunk by half and they ship into a bag which causes the morsels to stick together and more often than not they are broken apart so you don’t know if you are giving enough. Additionally the packaging now says based on my dog’s weight (which hasn’t changed) he has to have 2 morsels twice a day. And the cost of the product has increased. I no longer think it’s effective and I’ve had to switch to something else. I can’t recommend this product.
