Standard Poodles Love These

I have been very picky about what my pack and the rescues eat. My pack loves Dentastix. At night, they get one after they have eaten & gone outside, when I sit down to eat. They will pace the floors walking back to the treat jars to sit reminding me, thinking I've forgotten. They would rather have these than jerky ( meat). My adult standards usually can finish off one in a few bites but will take small bites and smack, enjoying each bite. I break them in small pieces to use as training tools. If I have a dog that really doesn't want to come inside, I just show them the bag ( it's silver now) and they can't wait to get a reward for minding. It is sad to save a rescue and who is over a year old and has never had a treat. They do not know how to hold them to eat but sure want the things. They will observe the other dogs and see them holding them between their feet and nibbling chunks off and soon learn. I buy the large size and will break it up for the smaller breed poodles. If I'd let them, they would eat at least 5 at one time. I have some older poodles who do not have all their teeth. I love my dogs so I bite off very small pieces so they won't get left out. One of my poodles has eaten these for almost 19 years now. He still gets so excited when it's treat time. I love ordering from Chewy. I know they will pack my products carefully if it were for their own pets. My dogs food arrives within 3 days. If I ever have a problem, they are always open, speak English, are in the USA, & help resolve the issue.

My dogs ADORE these dental chews! I had been buying them locally as cheaply as I could, but you can never find a better deal than purchasing pet food, toys, or meds through a quarterly shipment from Chewy. The company goes overboard when responding to any concern expressed about an order, and my friends (also Chewy customers) and I were very impressed with the Christmas cards we received! I used to use a daily rawhide chew for cleaning my dogs' teeth, but they were pulled from the market over a year ago, and I haven't seen them anywhere since. But I believe my pups like these chewy sticks even better. When I turn to get them one after breakfast, they jump up and down, and poke the box with their noses. I haven't noticed any "doggy breath" since we started using them, and our vet says their teeth are in fine shape.

I haven't bought dental sticks in years because my dogs wouldn't eat them because they all smelled weird. That being said, I decided to try them again because they're breath has been progressively getting worse. First of all, I noticed they smelled beefy right away!! After reading the package, these sticks shouldn't be given to dogs under 30 pounds, I have 2 wieners, both under 30 lbs, the mini being considerably lighter than my black and tan, so I put knife marks in them, where I could break them apart where one gets about 3/4s and the other gets smaller piece. They absolutely love them! They're hard enough where they have to chew on them pretty good, but they are by no means something that takes a while to chew. Haven't really noticed a difference in their breath, but I've only had them a week. I've added this to my autoshipment and will continue to buy them!!

Asa's (German Shepherd puppy) health is important to me and knowing that his teeth and gums are healthy means a great deal to his overall health. He loves his Dentastix and they're very reasonably priced. Since the health of my dog is a priority with me, the Dentastix are well worth any price. His breath is always fresh and he looks forward to the end of the day when he will receive his Dentastix to "brush" away all the tartar that may have formed that day.

I have tried the chews for her size but she bites them in half and swallows. I bought these with the hope that she would have to work at them. And it worked!!!!! Her teeth are remarkably better in a very short amount of time.

Gunner is ten years old and has a Dentastix every day. I have had Gunner for 9.2 years of his life, he visits his vet, Dr. Erika Cartwright at Advanced Animal Care, regularly. Gunner's teeth are strong, healthy and clean and I attribute much of that to the fact that he has the Dentastix every day. I also brush Gunner's teeth several times a week with toothpaste and a toothbrush from Chewys. Gunner loves Chewys and so does Gunner's mother!!

If your dog has dental issues, buy these treats. By the time he was 9, my corgi had had six teeth removed. Decay had caused him terrible pain, threatened his health, and cost us thousands of dollars. A year ago, we started giving him half a large stick every night at bedtime. The results have been better than I dared to expect: fresh breath, healthy gums, no decay. Last month we ran out of Dentastix for one week and Huckle's breath became whiffy, so I brushed his teeth and the gums bled. We got a new pack pronto. One week later, his mouth was back in shape--fresh smelling and, when I brushed the teeth as a test, no bleeding. I'm amazed and so, so grateful. We're on a tight budget and we can't afford NOT to buy these treats. And Huckle loves the taste. If he thinks we've forgotten his nighttime stick, he barks at us until we get it. Thank you, Pedigree, for such a healthy product, and thank you, Chewy, for good pricing and excellent service.

I think these are worth trying out on your dog to see if he likes them, because they are inexpensive and help clean the teeth. I have three dogs; large, medium and small. The German Shepherd loves them but she chews them up so fast I'm not sure how much teeth cleaning is getting done. Our medium dog, who is part-Golden Retriever, doesn't like them as much and takes hers reluctantly. She takes a lot longer to chew it up which is probably what helps clean the teeth. Our little Chihuahua usually just hides his piece until he tires of guarding it then lets one of the other dogs eat it. Sometimes he does chew it up but again I'm not sure he actually likes the taste much. I got the large size and found they are very easy to break up for giving to the smaller dog or for giving them out as little treats. I'm going to keep getting these as the price is right and we'll see what some long term use does for all of their teeth. And if that's all I'm giving out as "cookies" I guess the dogs will have to be happy with them!
