The BEST thing ever

I give my little dogs these at bedtime. They know its coming and race up the stairs to the bed to get their portion. My older Jack Chi, he was around 1 or 2 before

I give my little dogs these at bedtime. They know its coming and race up the stairs to the bed to get their portion. My older Jack Chi, he was around 1 or 2 before I started incorporating. He has a little bit of tartar on his canines. I give him a half a stick of this size, easy to fold in half to break. full stick is intended for dogs 40+ lbs. He is only 17lbs. My new puppy, she is 12lbs, been giving them to her since I got her as she wants everything and more that her older brother gets. Started her at 1/8 a stick (had baby teeth and they are very "chewy"), up to a 1/4 to a 1/3 a stick now that she is over a year. Her teeth are PRISTINE. I do not brush their teeth, I just give them their portion in my room and walk to the connecting bathroom to brush my teeth. I call them night night treats and they will snatch them from you and they are VERY protective of their piece. This is the best product, it not only works, (Mint is also their favorite flavor) but they absolutely love them. Just be careful about how much you are giving your dog per lb of body weight. As long as it takes about 20 seconds to chew, it's doing its job.

Good in addition to brushing

I've purchased these a few times over the past year for my young Labrador and he seems to like them (but what doesn't he like?). They have a firm but chewy texture

I've purchased these a few times over the past year for my young Labrador and he seems to like them (but what doesn't he like?). They have a firm but chewy texture so while I give him a whole treat, you could twist/tear these into smaller pieces and give to your dog that way. Don't expect these to be a long chew: my dog gobbles one up in about 45 seconds. No belly issues and his breath is fresh for a few hours after one of these. I cannot say with certainty that these have a huge benefit to his teeth because we also use a toothbrush on him and the (amazing!) PetzLife peppermint gel, which is our go-to for helping with plaque and fresh breath. But, when we were only using these treats, his teeth looked nice and clean. Hope this review helps others.

I tried brushing, using water additives, even probiotics hoping something would help. At 2 I paid $1000 to get his teeth cleaned but it still didn't help! I give him 2 of these chews per week and it has made a huge difference!

The mint smell and flavor are something he really likes. He takes them gently and goes to eat them slowly eats them as if to savor the flavor. He gets one after each meal if he finishes it all. So morning and night he gets one. He's a small dog so I cut them in half. Thank you for a great product that is also veterinarian approved.

I was on a mission to find a teeth cleaning treat that doesn’t contain chicken by-products, and these fit the bill. My dog is OBSESSED with these treats!! They smell great and his teeth stay pearly white. He also has a sensitive stomach and these don’t seem to upset it, which is great. Good price, too. Only downside is he eats them in like 5 seconds so maybe they could be a bit thicker.

I have a 3 1/2 year old husky - as much as I love her, I don't love her breath!! Very stinky. She hates getting her teeth brushed and water supplements are far too expensive, so I decided to give these a try. It's been about two weeks since she got her first one. She absolutely loves them! I can't say just yet if they are helping with her breath. I assume it will take a month or so of giving her one everyday in order to get viable results. But she doesn't gobble them down immediately like other treats - it takes her a good few minutes to chew the entire stick. However, I will definitely be ordering these once a month! Also, order confirmation and shipping was quite fast - not a thing to complain about there!

These large dentastix are a must have and are a nightly routine for my dogs. Every night before bed my pups get a stick to “brush” their teeth before bed. Took my dog to the vet a few days ago and he complemented me on how nice my French bulldogs teeth were. These dentastix do the trick of keeping my boys teeth clean.

When my senior dog starting having kidney issues, it was very difficult to fine low protein treats for her -- most treats have more than 20% protein which is way to high for a dog with CKD. She was also a greyhound and they have awful dental problems so I wanted to find a dental treat that was low protein, soft enough for her to chew but yet substantial enough to clean her teeth. These do the trick. I cut them into smaller pieces for my nine pound chi-doxie mix and my medium size Toller. They are soft enough that cutting them is very easy. That way I don't have buy multiple sizes. I could not cut some of the other "green" treats and it was way to expensive to buy small, medium and large sized treats just to take care of my three dogs. These are great!

My oldest boy Cuzz (9yrs old) has been chewing these since he was a pup or at least a young dog. And on a recent vet visit the Dr looked at his teeth and said "very good how long has been since he's had them cleaned?" And I told him that he's never had his teeth cleaned, he's never had them brushed for that matter. But he does have one dentastix after each meal. And the Dr said "keep doing what you're doing cuz it's working very well!" So we keep on keeping on. And both boys have one after each meal and their teeth are bright and white with no tartar problems.
