Oxbow Pure Comfort Small Animal Bedding, White, 72-L

**from a first time every hamster owner** i’ve had bailey for maybe three weeks now? she’s eight weeks old, and living life to her fullest. to start off, ive never used any other brands of bedding but this one seemed to be the best leaning towards me. this brand hasn’t given me many problems except as follows. i’m not quite sure what i was expecting but this wasn’t really that soft. it felt somewhat like tissue paper, or those rolls that come in advertisements saying you can choose your size? anyways, the paper isnt soft, but it isn’t rough either. bailey’s cage is 800 sq in wide/long and 12 in high. the 72 l was enough to fill up her house and fill up about 6 inches tall for her multi chambered house. i feel like the best thing about this bedding would be the color. with this bedding, because of the size and material, it soaks up bedding quite well and you can immediately pick out the bedding that’s been soiled. it’s plush and holds weight fine as long as you pack it underneath. the smell control i would rate as maybe a 6/10? it’s not too bad but if you dont clean at least every other day the area the pee or poo is in starts smelling. bad. absorbency it’s okay but it stays damp for a couple hours which i did NOT like, but what can you expect. bailey seems to love it, she burrows in it 24/7 and i never see her out of her house unless shes running on her wheel. i could have maybe gotten a bad batch but mine wasn’t really soft. yes, fluffy but not soft. the 72 l has lasted me about a couple weeks, counting how much i used to fill her house up.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I noticed that this product has a lot of bad reviews and I don't really understand why. I used to use both Carefresh and Kaytee Clean and Cozy, but I noticed that they were both very dusty and a few times my hamster would get dust in her eye and would end up having sticky eye. I decided to give this bedding a try because it was cheap and I was looking for a nice, dust-free alternative to Carefresh and Kaytee and I think I found it! I mix this bedding with some fresh Orchard Grass hay and it holds up burrows really, really well. It's pretty much completely dust free. No more sneezing from my hamster, no more sticky eye! She's doing really well and I love that this bedding is very lightweight and the color makes it easy to spot the soiled bedding. My hamster doesn't tend to pee in the same area over and over, so I think that could be why I don't have the problem of the bedding collapsing like some people have had. I love this bedding so much. It's not as soft as Kaytee, but it's soft enough and much softer than Carefresh and a lot less dusty! Mixed with orchard grass hay, my hamster can make wonderful burrows in her bin cage and they stay up pretty well. This bedding definitely needs to be mixed in with some hay for the burrows to stay up, keep that in mind. But overall, I love this bedding. It's perfect for my hamster and I will be buying it again.

I switched to this brand from Carefresh. Carefresh was too dusty and too stiff-it felt like cardboard to me. I was trying to find something that was super soft and had way less dust than Carefresh did and I finally found my match. I tried the Kaytee brand as well and it just was not working for me either. This was perfect. Super soft, virtually no dust and it’s pure. I don’t sneeze like I used to when I placed the Carefresh brand into my mouse’s enclosure and my mouse is now playing in his enclosure again and digging through it and making tunnels. I’m not sure if my mouse was allergic to Carefresh but it seems he is doing much better with this brand. I am a happy pet parent and I know my mouse is happy too. Finally a bedding that is pure, fresh, and clean. I don’t even have to spend so much money on bedding as a little bit literally goes a long way. I mix this with the Aspen shavings. This, along with the Aspen shavings, holds the smell down very well too! I recommend this brand to anyone.

Wish it came in a bigger packaging because between three bunnies and changing their litter every couple of days it's basically gone within a week and that's Wayy to pricey for anyone to afford.The quality was perfect,it absorbed perfect and their was no smell everything was perfect it's just way to small.Im so sad because I got it for two of my rabbits have sore hocks and heard this was perfect for that and this was and was the one of softest bedding ever it's just too small and unaffordable and a waste of money.It tracks a little but not as bad as small pet selects bedding I HATED that bedding because it tracked everywhere I still find it random places but unfortunately I can't do this bedding again and have to keep searching again,I feel like the bag has about 10 uses in it maybe but that's it
