My boys all wait for them every morning, as I get ready for work my routine involves me shaking the container and getting them all excited to get their morning treat. But one little guy LOVES them more than the rest, he squeaks and jumps and purrs every morning he gets so happy for them he will even wake up mum (my fiancé) in the other room. I have tried everything to get them to take vitamins, from drops to even baby vitamins which are a second place finisher to these, but no matter what it was they didn't like it. They not only love these oxbow vitamin c hay treats guinea pigs need them. It's a WIN WIN in my book. And thank you Chewy.com I wish I signed on to you guys a long time ago. Every morning, my girls never miss a single morning. They squeal louder and louder as each hour passes until I wake up and get out of bed to give them their morning treat. They love everything Oxbow, they have never turned down any of their treats. But this one, I firmly believe they would commit a crime if you bribed them with this treat. Best thing about Oxbow, I can trust that my girls are getting exactly what they need.

So this is my first month in Chewy.com's "Influencer" program and I got Oxbow Vitamin C tabs. The upside to these is they store well in the resealable bag they come
So this is my first month in Chewy.com's "Influencer" program and I got Oxbow Vitamin C tabs. The upside to these is they store well in the resealable bag they come in and they're in a form that's easy for guinea pigs to eat. Guinea pigs are generally getting enough vitamin C in their pellet food and fresh veggies but I do like to offer extra to pregnant or nursing piggies. The drawbacks are that the tablets are hard to break in half if you want to use half a tab or less and only about 50-60% of my guinea pigs really like them. So some piggies will pick them up quickly and hog them, and in other cages I'll find the whole tablet still there from a day or two ago. Overall I like the convenience they provide so I keep them on hand, even if it's not a guarantee that the piggy I want will be the piggy who ends up eating them.

One of my guinea pigs had severe calcium deficiency, I gave him a treat once a day, and a month later he was running around and playing like his brothers. Stuart is 8 days away from being 2 months old and he is still doing fantastically! I always have these treats on hand and they are a lot more expensive in pet stores so I’m very thankful I can purchase them online at a better price.

However, the next day, the wafers were gone. I tried again and the same thing happened. After a week, they now would actually come to get one like it’s a treat!

These are essential for any home with a guinea pig so they can take one daily. I actually split them in half and do half in the morning and one in the evening. One
These are essential for any home with a guinea pig so they can take one daily. I actually split them in half and do half in the morning and one in the evening. One of my piggies has bladder stones and it's one of the few treats he can have so looks forward to them. My only complaint is sometimes you get a bag that doesn't have the scored part as well scored and they don't break evenly, but I haven't had that in awhile.

Crispy little disc, can be snapped into 2 halves depending on pet size. I do use the Urinary Support, Multivitamins, Skin & Coat supplements, tasty apple/banana snacks for my sweet free roaming bunn. Walter is very active and busy ALL day. He is my second bunn rescue so the brand Oxbow is my go too, for years!
