My Pitbull Mix Puppy is a brick house!

Since adopting my puppy on 10/11/2025, she has gone from 4# to 26.6# of solid muscle today, 12/23/2025. She has an endless dish, eats until she is full, does not over eat, has a SHINY COAT, does not shed, and is a literal TORNADO from morning until bedtime, without napping! This girl is HAPPY 24/7, and healthy, and it shows! She goes to the bathroom regularly, is confident, loving, intelligent, and all around a great dog! I attribute her health and happiness a lot in part to feeding her Orijen brand puppy food! Would you feed your children trash? Then WHY would you feed your beloved fur family member trash? Do your homework! Read the labels, and choose Orijen brands of food at every stage of life! My 15 year old eats Orijen canned, as does my 5 year old! Everybody is thriving! I have adopted and rescued 37 animals in my adult life, and MOST live well beyond their expected lifespan! 18-20 years! Why? It is all about: 1) What you feed them, and 2) How much LOVE you give them!

Yum! (with photos)

I received Orijen Puppy Grain-Free Dry 13 lb, today. Arrived super quick as always.. thanks Chewy! It looks and smells spectacular! Thought about trying it myself

I received Orijen Puppy Grain-Free Dry 13 lb, today. Arrived super quick as always.. thanks Chewy! It looks and smells spectacular! Thought about trying it myself it smelled so good and fresh LOL. The bag was sealed air-tight which was nice. Easy open, but no zip close, which you'd think Orijen would be kind enough to include, considering how much this stuff costs. I did fill 3 full and one 3/4 full gallon size zip bags from a 13 lb. bag. I'm not sure why anyone would say the kibble size is too large for their dog to eat, since I have 4 dogs, all under 4 lbs. and two of those are only 8 weeks old, yet they all chewed and swallowed it flawlessly. I can't speak for the diarrhea issue yet, since I got it today, but I switch my dogs food often, so I don't anticipate any problems, but will try to update on that later. I have had diarrhea issues switching some dogs food before, but if it was a quality food I wanted them to eat, I just gave them a small dose of imodium for children (check with your vet for dosing correctly for your dog's weight) at the onset and maybe a couple more doses while their system got used to the new food with no messy problems whatsoever. I wish everyone would do picture reviews of the FOOD and maybe include pictures of your dogs if needed for reference. I think that helps the next buyer to be more informed. I love to see what I'm buying, whether it be canned, dry, dehydrated etc. I buy all the best for my pups here at Chewy and always have confidence since they stand behind everything they sell.

Puppy loves this!

I adopted a 10 week old terrier mix who came home with soft stools and was slightly under weight. I jumped in with both feet and didn't transition from the Pro Plan he had been on. Instant success! Murphy loved this food immediately and his stools have been completely normal since! While this brand is pricey, I feel like I am getting more than I am paying for. My little dude has enjoyed steady weight gain and sports a beautiful soft coat with zero flaking. Started with the 4.5 lb bag locally and graduated to the big bag from Chewy! While purchasing this food locally vs Chewy does not save me any money, it does save me a trip to the store! I am thrilled with the free two day shipping!

After getting our pup from a shelter, transitioning her from a blan corn/wheat based diet, to a more wholesome food, we decided Orijen's food seemed to truly have some of the best ingredients for a growing pup. We got our shepherd mix at 11wks, she's now at 14wks and has grown so much in just a short period of time, her energy is great and her coat is starting to shine and it's likely due to Orijens help. Transitioning food was a breeze, while we didn't do it over a week and rather days, we saw no changes to her poo's or her having a reaction. The smell of it drivers her crazy and it serves as a great training treat as well. I appreciate the level of detail and high quality ingredients in this food, it's so important for the growth of an animal.

This is our 3rd go-round with feeding our new puppies with Orijen Puppy Food. First was Chocolate Lab...2nd was Golden Retriever... and 3rd is our brand new baby Golden Retriever. All 3 devour this down so fast almost to the point of gagging and choking on it. Our new GR runs to the bowl when he hears it poured. Superior ingredients and all of them love/loved the taste. The older two have been on grain free diets all their lives and are now on Orijen 6-Fish and their ear problems are clearing up... not to mention their coats are silky smooth and shiny. Reminds me of a L'Oreal commercial. Great products with Best-in-Class ingredients. Definitely recommend even though it is pricy compared to other brands.

We went through 5 different kibble before we found this and it’s the only thing my puppy will eat and actually love and enjoy. mom and dad also really love the brand, what they stand for and how they source the ingredients. Everything is wholesome and what we want to give our pup and for the rest of his life. We top the kibble off with some boiled white rice and the Orijen freeze dried Tundra patty. My pup can’t get enough! We struggled a lot with him eating and with diarrhea. Once we switched over to this, Instant change! Poops are harder and his coat is so shiny! Love love love this! Highly recommend to anyone! Worth the price! I would give it more then 5 stars if it was possible!

I've been feeding my 6.5 month old frenchton this since she was 4 months. She was weened onto purina by the breeder and I immediately switched her to blue buffalo as an intermediate until I found her better food. Blue buffalo was good but it wasn't great. I did a lot of research on orijen and saw tons of great reviews. Her stool was soft and her cost was dull until I started her on this. She now poops less, it's firmer and her coat has a nice sheen to it. And she likes it. I do add a finger tip of organic coconut oil to her food every day too. She also eat less of this food but still has amazing energy. And this site ships super fast, has great customer service and never a problem. I just love them!

I have two labrador pups, and have been feeding them Orijen puppy food from the start. I chose Orijen based on their natural ingredients. Having previously lost two dogs to cancer, it makes you think about what could possibly cause it. I wanted to make sure with these two, I'd give them the very best nutrition I could. Fortunately, there are enough "good" brands out there--many of which Chewy carries-- but there's also a lot of "junk" food on the market. After careful research, I chose Orijen, and have been very pleased with the results so far. Labs can tend to overeat if you allow them to. I've been following the recommended portion sizes as they've grown, and now at 6 and 8 months, both labs are in great shape with beautiful coats. No extra pudge on these guys. I plan to transition over to Orijen adult when the time comes, and hope to maintain healthy and beautiful dogs.

I bought three items from Chewy; the Orijen Puppy food, the Ziwi Lamb Cuisine, that I give as treats, and the Bravo turkey bit treats. She loves them all. She eats them much better than the other brand of food I was feeding her before a friend turned me on to these brands. There are much healthier for her and she is a much happier pup. When I go to get her treats, she stands on her hind legs waiting for them.

While no expert, I conducted extensive research to ensure our 7 mo rescue pup was getting a proper diet, especially as he is still developing & who knows what he has been fed before. I initially fed him Blue Buffalo Pup Wilderness Chicken but grew very concerned that BB does not manufacturer their food in their own factory/kitchen & therefore, outsourced it's packing & supply chain. My research unveiled there are numerous pet food brands, but only a few manufacturers who actually produce. So, multiple brands ranging from low to high quality can be made in a factory leaving room for cross contamination. I really wanted so much to support "Made IN USA," but Orijen & co-brand Acana are all made in-house with local suppliers. In addition, Orijen contains no controversial ingredients such as garlic, tomato pomade etc.. whereas BB & surprisingly, other top brands do. In 1 week I transitioned our pup from BB to Orijen Puppy. While both are grain-free, I noticed our pup has less eye discharge & a shinier coat. I also fed a tspn of 100% pure canned pumpkin daily to help with the transition. Like another review suggested, loose stools did occur, but we just exercised patience & stuck to it. Realize switching to Orijen which is full of protein & richer ingredients may require more time for some dog's systems to process it. Cost per bag is higher than most, however, he consumes less overall because Orijen contains less fillers, so the price averages out. I am very happy I did my research & feel fortunate this brand exists!
