All of my dogs love,love these! But when i first got these my girl would always chew on it breaking it in piece until one day she accidently swallowed one hole
All of my dogs love,love these! But when i first got these my girl would always chew on it breaking it in piece until one day she accidently swallowed one hole and started choking. I immediately picked her up and had to stick my finger down her throat being it got lodged . I then had to get behind it with my finger to push it out really fast! I didnt even have time to think! Ever since that day i now "ALWAYS" cut these in small peices. She's a yorkie mix and loves these as well as my great pyrenees's also do. She's very picky and these are the only dental bars she really likes.

My vet recommended this brand to me since my chihuahua had what he called a stage 1 tartar problem. I started giving him one chew a day and the tartar literally fell off his teeth in chunks when I brushed. His breath also doesn’t stink as bad anymore. I’m very impressed with this product and will continue to purchase. Also he loves how these taste as you can see he’s licking his chops.

As with most VOHC products for dogs, the active ingredient is swallowed. All of these active ingredients that were formulated for human, oral hygiene products are not supposed to be swallowed. I worry about the long term effects to the GI biome from dogs swallowing these chemicals daily. Delmopinol is a sticky, coating substance that helps prevent biofilm adherence on surfaces (like teeth) and also interacts with the cell wall of some bacteria. The physical and chemical effects of this substance on the throat and GI tract are not scientifically defined but we can guess that they are no good.

My 10 pound Yorkie, Ruxpy and my 60 lb Labradoodle, Lilly, go absolutely bonkers for these dental chews! I’ve tried MANY different brands and these are hands down the best at keeping their teeth plaque free and their breath smelling fresh! There’s a noticeable difference within just a few days every time I run out and Ruxpy’s breath starts to get a foul odor again. I buy the small size for him and the large size for my Lilly and if I run out of the small ones, the giant ones are just soft enough to chop into thirds with a clever, so I can actually get 3 small size out of one large which is a much better deal, but more work and hassle having to cut them each time. For someone on a tight budget though, that’s always an option to make your dollars stretch further! The vanilla-mint smell is so good, I’m embarrassed to say I’ve licked one before just to see how they taste! Hahaha

If you're looking for a dental chew that is actually effective in removing and preventing plaque and freshens breath, LOOK NO FURTHER!! I had reached a point where I didnt believe any dental chew was capable of actually cleaning my pup's teeth and had just been using them to freshen their breath. However, I have been proven wrong. After 1 month of a daily chew. I noticed the plaque build up on my pups back teeth was GONE. and her teeth were WHITE! her breath stays fresh ALL day, not just for an hour after the chew. Believe me, they are worth the money! The only negative I have to say is that they do make my dogs poops green. Her stool is still solid, but bright green. I would love if they made a dye free version.

I bought another bag and the treats were much harder than the first bag. She wouldn’t even take these until I cut them in half. The texture felt like they were a very hard rubber. I think, they eventually became too much to chew because she would just spit them out after a few chomps. The whole bag ended up expiring and I trashed them.

My pup loves his morning treat, which he knows as greenie treats. He dances around when I ask him if he wants one. He plays for a quite a while with it, trying to hid it in the couch, throw rugs, pillows or whatever he thinks he can trick me with. Then, when he knows I've settled down for a while, he goes to get it and sets himself down in front of me and proceeds to eat it while I watch. I love to watch him chew, side to side, cleaning those teeth while enjoying a treat. It's all good.
