I ordered the big size 3+ Lb bag of "SMALL" Old Mother Hubbard dog treats, thinking that was like my old IAMS puppy treats (in size) Since Iams ones are no longer
I ordered the big size 3+ Lb bag of "SMALL" Old Mother Hubbard dog treats, thinking that was like my old IAMS puppy treats (in size) Since Iams ones are no longer available, and the picture of the new treats looked small on the website but when I got them, they are HUGE. I later found that they have a smaller size called "MINI", and that is what I wanted, so the dogs don't get too much of this each day as rewards. I even break the treats in half, but this larger size crumbles when you try to break it, and is still larger than a mini. Too expensive to send back.. Lesson learned.
Small Size is the perfect size for dogs under 25 lbs.
I have 2 dogs less than 25 lbs and the small size is the perfect size for a bedtime cookie. We purchase the Original Assortment 20oz bag size small. I counted

I counted a bag and there was about 50 cookies in the bag with very few broken ones. There were plenty of Cheddar and Original, less than 10 Chicken and only two Charcoal cookies in the bag. My dogs love these cookies and whine and bounce around at bedtime, till they are given their cookie to take to bed. I like them because they are hard but if I want to break them, they are easily snapped in half and into pieces.

I love this company because they use high quality ingredients and it doesnt cost a fortune like the botique type treats. I splurge and buy grain free premium food but if you buy treats from the same company it costs a lot- about half the price as the food, its ridiculous! While these do have grains in them they are high quality and they are not the main part of anyones diet so it doesn't bother me. I notice they do have a wheat free option which is nice but they dont sell those in bulk. These are very nice size treats (i orederd the mini) and they are low calorie too! Perfect! These will be on my list of things to get from Chewy!

My dog technically is big enough for the larges (76lbs), but since she gets one after each bathroom break, I buy the smalls. Perfect for 2-3 a day.

I had been buying the mini size in various flavors for a while now. I noticed this larger package was a better deal and ordered it without noticing it was the small
I had been buying the mini size in various flavors for a while now. I noticed this larger package was a better deal and ordered it without noticing it was the small size rather than mini. The small size is quite large. I have to break it up into small pieces but now my dog has stopped eating them. Yesterday he vomited after eating part of one and now today he just left the pieces lay on the floor. I'm puzzled by this because he used to love the mini size and I assume the small size is the same formulation just a different size, although they do seem quite a bit more crumbly. The only thing I can think of is that it might have something to do with the packaging because the bag they are in inside the box is not sealed so maybe they got stale even though I put them in an airtight glass jar? I wish I knew what the issue was because now I'm afraid to even go back to the mini size.

At times they do come through broken, and I find buying the bagged assortment the biscuits come in one piece for some strange reason. Over all my dog cannot get enough and can tell the difference from the Milk bone brand. He puts his nose up to the Milk bone biscuits and only wants Old Mother Hubbard Biscuits.

These are the only biscuits that I have bought for years, for my two dogs. They seem to have wholesome ingredients, and a lot less of the cheap corn filler of the major brand. They come in different, dog-pleasing flavors. My guys like them all, so I buy the assorted bag, so they get a different flavor every time. I keep them in a covered canister by the back door, and that is their treat for going out to do their "business". They come in, and automatically sit, waiting for it. I buy the mini size because it is less calories for them, and you get more to a bag. I buy the large bag, and it lasts me quite a while.
