I’ve gotten “Nutro Perfect Portions” a few times and my cats “like” it, but nothing beats “NUTRO MAX”! They LOVED Nutro Max. It’s almost the same as the perfect portions just the giblets are bigger and it comes in cans. I suppose it’s the original version of Nutro and it seems to be discontinued here and in stores! It was such an awesome food! I’m not sure why they would discontinue it :( and it was cheaper too, about $20 for a box of 24 cans

Half my cats like it the other half do not… My biggest gripe is that my cats absolutely adored the Nutro Max in the 3 ounce cans! Now I’m pretty sure that whole line is discontinued which is really upsetting because the cutlets in that can compare to no other cat food..I’ve tried everything on the market and nothing comes close! This original formula was the best .. ugh!!!

Great food, terrible packaging

My cats have been eating Nutro for years and really love it. Unfortunately, they discontinued all their canned food and now only have wet food in these plastic trays

My cats have been eating Nutro for years and really love it. Unfortunately, they discontinued all their canned food and now only have wet food in these plastic trays. For a company that prides themselves on clean food, they are willing to create an incredible amount of plastic waste! (#7 plastic, which isn't recyclable in many places.) Plus, two trays together is less food than one 3 oz can, so with multiple cats (I have 4), you are going to go through A LOT of these. It's really too bad about how it is packaged, because this is my cats' favorite food.

My cats LOVE the Nutro Soft Loaf in cans. It was their dinner every night. This is supposed to replace it. Well, the food itself is fine (only reason it gets even 2 stars), but the packaging is HORRIBLE. Not only is it significantly less food for more money, but we are supposed to be doing away with single-use plastics, not making more of them! On top of that, for anyone (like me) who has arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, or any other hand problem, these things are a nightmare to get open. There are days when I simply can't do it. What the heck was wrong with the cans? I realize they cost more to ship, but they were better for the cats (I don't like to feed them out of plastic), better for the cat caretakers, and WAY better for the planet. I won't be recommending Nutro anymore.

Think twice before you order this product. The food is good. The packaging is abominable! The food comes in 2-packs, but two 2-packs equal less food than is in one

Think twice before you order this product. The food is good. The packaging is abominable! The food comes in 2-packs, but two 2-packs equal less food than is in one 5.5 oz can of cat food. That makes it quite expensive even with a discount. Each individual container is extremely hard to open. The heavy duty foil strongly affixed to each little plastic box is impossible to pull off without getting the meat juice inside all over your fingers, the counter, or wherever you are making the attempt (assuming you have enough brute strength to actually open it.) If you are concerned about the environment & plastic waste, you will be appalled, as I am, at the exorbitant amount of packaging to contain such a tiny amount of product. As I said, the food is fine, but the amount and the packaging is totally unacceptable. I cannot recommend this product and definitely will not order it again. Meanwhile, I'm stuck meeting the challenge of opening such containers 4 times a day for the next couple of weeks. I could donate what's left, but wouldn't do that to my local shelter. Chewy customer service is great and can recommend a better alternative, if you need help choosing.

These taste great and all 3 of my cats love them and they love all the flavors. It’s also decent quality and price.. My big annoyance is that they are not perfect portions for anything but kittens. You need to give them multiple portions to get them close to a normal caloric meal.. each is 40 something calories and a small amount. Who wants to open a million little plastic packets each day? And I don’t want to think about the wasted large amount of plastic I’m throwing out... I wish they made large cans as well which would save me a lot of time, energy, and garbage!

Smooth texture, bad packaging

My baby really seems to like Nutro, but the packaging is horrendous. The lid is ridiculously difficult to remove, and the container holds way too little food. Plus,

Plus, it seems I’m constantly peeling lids and tossing containers — annoying. Also, for the amount of food, this product is way overpriced. It’s smooth consistency, however is great for pureeing and syringe-feeding! The tiny containers cut down on food waste and grantee freshness at each meal, but they add way too much waste to landfills.

The cats think it's decent.

My 3 cats seem to like this food, but I really wish they would bring back the cans. My cats are not big into wet food, but one of them needs to have his meds mixed

My 3 cats seem to like this food, but I really wish they would bring back the cans. My cats are not big into wet food, but one of them needs to have his meds mixed into canned food twice a day. He eats this kind, so that's a win, but between the 3 of them, they eat less than 1/2 of a serving of this. When there were cans, I could put a lid on and put it in the fridge for the next day. Now, I just end up throwing away the food. It's a waste. I'll keep buying it because he will actually eat this kind, but it would be nice if they still offered the cans.
