Nutro Natural Choice Adult Small Breed Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food, 13-lb bag

Full disclosure: I received this product for free from NUTRO(tm) as part of an promotion for the brand. I am thankful my small dog Mandie has been so cooperative. She's been the star from the very beginning. I supervised & hawk-eyed her while she tried out & finished her new kibble in the duration of two weeks. I started by giving her small portions of the Nutro's farm-raised chicken, Brown rice, & sweet potato hard food. Doing this to see how she adjusted from her old food, I was generally surprised. I have been feeding my dog wet food for so long its as if I forgot that hard food existed. It's only, Mandie tends to be a picky eater and loves wet foo. It works for me too since it's so easy to manage. One in the morning after her walk, one in the afternoon after her walk. So I was skeptical at first of how she would like this hard food. But after giving her a small portion in the morning she ate it right up! The afternoon too, so I slowly began giving her more and more in till I found the right percentage to give her was about 4 cups for her to be full two times a day. After I found out the right amount to give her, it was as easy as giving her wet as it was just pour and rinse. Slowly but steadily she began adjusting and soon I could tell my dog had fallen in love with the brand! Which is so surprising since she is just such a picky eater. But maybe I am the one to blame for this, since I've never really bought natural real ingredient hard dog food for my dog before. Shame on me, she loves it. And after thoroughly reading the bag it seems this brand is a match from heaven for my dog & me. If she's happy I'm happy, but the love we feel goes beyond that. To know my dog is eating quality hip-HOP farm made ingredients makes me thrilled. As it is now not only is Mandie and I happy, she likes it, it's easy, but now I'm also giving her goodness. Goodness through such a essential nutrient brand. That instead of using by-product, this is real chicken. With none of the bad stuff and all of the good. The pieces are small & easy for my dog to chew as well. Rather than big pieces, I'm happy they are so small. My small dog can chew it easily which is just great. Plus, Mandie had to of been sick of the same things day after day. With this product it gives her a brand new palate that she can explore. Overall I am just so pleased to give Mandie a new special routine with the Nutro's brand. It makes us both extremely happy. Thanks Nutro.

I like rotating my dogs' dry food so they don't tire of it. A quality dry dog food is very important to their nutrition.

i have a pekingese, her teeth are a lil overcrowded due to her very small snout. i used to feed her the puppy food but have since transitioned her to the adult food (she’s just over 1.5 years old, the food transition was slow since she only eats ~1 cup a day). the kibble size of both of these foods is great for small dogs in my opinion. while i have to wet her food now so it is easier for her to eat, she did just fine with the dry kibble when she used to eat it!
