Regular veterinarian visits are recommended to ensure your dog's good health. To help maintain freshness of the food, seal the bag tightly after each use and store in a cool, dry location.
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time.
- Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days.
- Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days.
- Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days.
- Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

I have a three-year-old Maltipoo who is incredibly picky when it comes to food, so finding something he’ll actually eat has always been a challenge. On top of that, he has struggled with constant itchiness for quite some time. After discussing it with my veterinarian, they recommended switching him to a dog food formulated specifically for sensitive skin and coat. I decided to give Nutrena Loyall Life Advanced Solutions Sensitive Skin & Coat Salmon & Oatmeal Recipe a try, and so far I’m really glad I did. We’ve been transitioning him slowly, and he has now been eating this food for about two and a half weeks. I was honestly expecting him to turn his nose up at it like he has with several other brands, but to my surprise, he started eating it without much hesitation. That alone was a huge win for us because getting him to finish his meals is usually a daily struggle. He seems to genuinely enjoy the flavor, and I haven’t noticed any resistance during mealtime. One thing I really appreciate is the kibble size. Since my Maltipoo is a smaller dog, I always worry about pieces being too large or difficult for him to chew. These are a great size for him, and he has no trouble eating them comfortably. Although it’s still fairly early, I’m already starting to notice small improvements in his skin. His itchiness hasn’t completely disappeared yet, but it definitely seems to be improving little by little. He’s scratching less often than he was before, which is encouraging. I know skin issues can take time to improve, so I’m happy to see positive changes after only a couple of weeks. Overall, I’m very happy, I will absolutely be reordering this food and look forward to seeing even more progress as he continues eating it.

I'm sure with more time, I would see more improvements with his skin. The transition to this food was really easy for him. He has a sensitive stomach, but the added probiotics definitely helped the transition to be smoother for him. The kibble size is smaller which works really well when putting into food puzzles. A nice little bonus!

The "aroma" is pleasant and not fishy. I just prefer the actual Kibble SIZE to be larger to promote chewing for better digestion (suggested by our Vet when choosing dry foods).

What I really loved about this food was that switching her over caused no stomach upset and was not difficult. She actually ate it immediately and has been for about 1.5 weeks now. It didn’t flare up her skin allergies, her coat looks great and she truly enjoys the food. She is small at 6 pounds but the kibbles are small enough for her to easily crunch. Our other dogs actually started eating it too and also have had no stomach issues.

Her coat is softer and her skin looks healthier than it has in a long time. Her paws are not inflamed and she’s stopped chewing them. She also loves the taste, which is a bonus.
